Autism, a neurodevelopmental disorder with diverse etiologies, continues to attract the attention of researchers. Disabling the child in the areas of communication and interaction, it is considered to be severe and disabling for life. In a contextual and psychodevelopmental approach, this book highlights the contribution of traditional and modern therapies in the care of the child. Using a comparative approach, the author conducted a cross-sectional study of 143 autistic children, all from Gabon, aged 3 to 10 years, divided into two groups. The first group was composed of 75 autistic children, including 21 girls and 54 boys, who had received medical-psychological-pedagogical care in a specialized institution. The second group is composed of 68 autistic children, including 28 girls and 40 boys who benefited from traditional therapeutic practices. This book is in line with new research in human and social sciences, particularly in developmental psychology.

In this volume, Paul Rodrigue investigates the sources that Jerome may have drawn upon in the process of translation.Far from being just a rendering of the Hebrew-Aramaic Bible, the Vulgate emerges as a layered and multifaceted translation, shaped not only by the Hebrew-Aramaic text but also by a broad array of additional sources. Through a series of carefully chosen case studies, Rodrigue analyses a number of verses from the Joseph narrative in Genesis, as well as from Daniel and Esther. Each Vulgate passage is meticulously compared with its equivalents in the Hebrew-Aramaic Bible, the Septuagint, the Latin translations of the Septuagint, the Greek versions of Aquila, Symmachus, and Theodotion, and-where applicable-the Targumim and rabbinic writings.This comparative approach reveals Jerome's engagement with texts in four languages-Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek, and Latin-and highlights his responses to both Jewish and Christian exegetical traditions. The election of leaders like Donald Trump and Viktor Orb n represents the culmination of a political phenomenon that reinterprets democracy in a way that is incompatible with liberal democracy, weakening the rule of law, the constitutional order and fundamental democratic principles. This process has a direct impact on the protection of human rights, particularly affecting vulnerable groups, especially refugees and asylum seekers. In this context, the relationship between populist governments and the current refugee crisis is essentially conflictual, since these governments use legal, administrative and political mechanisms to restrict entry into their territories and access to international protection. The gaps in international law in the face of the advance of populism favor state practices that violate the principle of non-refoulement and the rights inherent in the person of the refugee, which derive from human dignity. This highlights the need to comply with international refugee protection instruments, many of which are part of jus cogens and whose non-compliance can lead to international responsibility on the part of the state.

A elei o de determinados l deres pol ticos ao poder configura-se, na atualidade, como o ponto culminante de um fen meno que ressignifica a democracia, afastando-se dos princ pios fundamentais pr prios da democracia liberal, corroendo a ordem constitucional e, sobretudo, comprometendo a prote o dos direitos humanos, em especial aqueles inerentes aos refugiados e aos requerentes de ref gio. Nesse contexto, a rela o entre governos populistas e atual crise dos refugiados mostra-se essencialmente conflituosa, uma vez que tais governos utilizam mecanismos de diversa natureza - jur dicos, pol ticos, etc - para restringir o ingresso em seus territ rios e o acesso prote o internacional. Portanto, a amea a populista, diante das lacunas do Direito Internacional, favorece pr ticas estatais que violam o princ pio de non-refoulement e os direitos dos refugiados. Assim, ressalta-se a necessidade de observ ncia dos instrumentos internacionais de prote o dos refugiados, muitos deles integrados ao jus cogens, cujo descumprimento pelas pr ticas populistas, pode gerar a responsabilidade internacional do Estado.
