I september 2015 tog fotograf Fryd Frydendahl og grafiker Jacob Birch til Texas med en ambition om at udforske og afprøve grænserne for fotobogens format. Ud fra benspænd om, at den grafiske opsætning skulle finde sted undervejs, sideløbende med fotografiernes analoge tilblivelse, er elementer af intuition, tempo og flygtighed, der normalvis kendetegner den digitale billedkultur, således indlejret i bogen. Samtidig fastholder den analoge metode at projektet bliver tilført en langsomhed. Udgivelsen er langt mere poesi end faktisk dokumentation af rejsen. Den fremstår fragmenteret både i sit narrativ og visuelt. Trods det, at Texas er meget anderledes end fotografens skandinaviske afsæt, er bogens formål ikke at drage sammenligninger eller udpensle forskelle. Bogen fremstår som en refleksion over sit eget format, mens den sideløbende skaber et kontrapunkt til en moderne, flygtig verden.
