La presente etude subordonne l'approche de la dimension ironique de l'ecriture savinienne aux resultats d'une pratique interpretative dont le protocole repose sur une theorie des discours esthetiques en general. Conduite a partir des modeles de semiotique litteraire developpes par Jacques Geninasca au cours des vingt dernieres annees, l'analyse de deux contes francais de l'auteur italien permet de definir - par rapport a l'esthetique surrealiste - la specificite de la poetique savinienne. Dans un univers de discours depourvu d'horizon ontologique des valeurs, l'ironie de Savinio apparait comme l'expression d'une incessante remise en question de la possibilite meme d'un croire positif. Elle constitue la reponse au paradoxe que pose un discours qui, denoncant le caractere illusoire de toute croyance, se veut lui-meme, implicitement, le lieu de manifestation d'un savoir vrai sur la relation a l'ordre de valeurs. La verite du discours savinien, en derniere analyse, ne correspond a aucun contenu pedicatif, elle s'actualise a travers la negativite liberatrice et euphorique d'un rapport distance aux choses, aux etres et a soi."

An intergenerational and intercontinental conversation between the sculptures of two artists with vastly different influences and styles This exhibition catalog juxtaposes the work of contemporary Portuguese sculptor Rui Chafes (born 1966) with that of Swiss artist Alberto Giacometti (1901–1966), one of the most important sculptors of the 20th century, who was strongly influenced by Cubism and Surrealism.
Alberto Caeiro är en av Pessoas heteronymer. Denne anspråkslöse naturpoet i en fåraherdes gestalt var kanske hans favoritidentitet. I ett brev till en bekant skrev Pessoa själv 1914: ”Om det finns någon del av mitt verk som bär uppriktighets prägel så är det Caeiros dikter.” De skrevs alla 1914 och utgör en samling i tre delar: ”Fåraherden”, ”Den Förälskade herden” och ”Strödda dikter”. ”... här finns dikter av stor skönhet som uttrycker glädje, sorg och smärta. Their shared ambition to capture stillness, silence, and the spiritual essence of form resonates throughout the book. Published alongside the exhibition at Museum Beelden aan Zee in The Hague, and co-organised by the Fondation Giacometti and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, this is the first major presentation of Chafes' work in the Netherlands.
