Cook, Eat, Repeat: Ingredients, Recipes, and Stories
"Food, for me, is a constant pleasure: I like to think greedily about it, reflect deeply on it, learn from it; it provides comfort, inspiration, meaning, and beauty...More than just a mantra, 'cook, eat, repeat' is the story of my life." Cook, Eat, Repeat is a delicious and delightful combination of recipes intertwined with narrative essays about food, all written in Nigella Lawson's engaging and insightful prose. Whether asking "what is a recipe?" or declaring death to the "guilty pleasure," Nigella brings her wisdom about food and life to the fore while sharing new recipes that readers will want to return to again and again.Within these chapters are more than a hundred new recipes for all seasons and tastes from Burnt Onion and Eggplant Dip to Chicken with Garlic Cream Sauce; from Beef Cheeks with Port and Chestnuts to Ginger and Beetroot Yogurt Sauce. Those with a sweet tooth will delight in desserts including Rhubarb and Custard Trifle; Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake; and Cherry and Almond Crumble."The recipes I write come from my life, my home," says Nigella, and in Cook, Eat, Repeat she reveals the rhythms and rituals of her kitchen through recipes that make the most of her favorite ingredients, with inspiration for family dinners, vegan feasts, and solo suppers, as well as new ideas for cooking during the holidays. Cook Like a Local in France

Cook Like a Local in France

A trip to the supermarket while vacationing in a foreign country can be a frustrating ordeal. How to choose the best seafood (what is the deal with the tiny packages of fish?) proper farmers’ market etiquette (is it okay to touch the veggies?) and choosing the right checkout line (there are different kinds?) can all lead to moments of confusion, and asking for help is not so easy with a language barrier. When author Lynne Martin tried living as locals do in France, she found making her own meals nearly impossible. Unfamiliar with cuts of meat and unable to decipher labels or cooking instructions, she was surrounded by delicious produce but lost when it came to utilising it in French cooking. Chef Deborah Scarborough came to her rescue, and now, in Shop Like a Local in France, both share their tips for other travellers looking to rock their vacation cooking or explore French cuisine at home. In addition to 50 recipes, there are guides to wine and cheese, tips for stocking a rental home and information about French kitchen basics.

Cook Islands Travel Guide. Vacation and Honeymoon Guide. These tropical islands got their name after Captain Cook, who discovered them in 1770. The Cook Islands become increasingly popular with travelers who seek secluded rest in tropical paradise without busting infrastructure and hordes of vacationers. The islands are divided into Northern Cook Islands and Southern Cook Islands, with the southern ones being more populated and easily accessible. Crystal clean water and fantastic underwater life are among the biggest attractions of the islands, so scuba diving and snorkeling are very popular there. The majority of famous diving sites are located around Rarotonga Island. Here divers can see coral reefs, tropical fish, turtles, eagle rays, hammerheads, eels and reef sharks. Divers of all levels are welcome, and larger centers like ones on Muri Beach offer 3 day diving courses for newbies, after which they become certified divers. Cook Island Christian Church on Rarotonga is one of the most famous architectural landmarks of the islands. The beautiful white-coral building was constructed in 1853. The church is still working and visitors are welcome to attend services. The best way to get acquainted with culture of the Cook Islands is to visit Beachcomber Gallery, which exhibits paintings, jewellery, pearls and other crafts made by local masters. There are workshops behind the building of the gallery, where travelers can buy souvenirs, shell carvings and black-pearl jewellery.

Tip Two: assemble all your ingredients and cooking utensils before you start cooking. There are 160 recipes all up, from plates to share and light bites, salads and soups, to pasta dishes, meat, poultry and seafood dishes and desserts.
