From Out of darkness into His Marvelous Light is my bout with a health issue, which was misdiagnosed as a mental illness. My life was bleak during this time, and things were dark for me. That darkness lingered for quite some time, but one day, it became clear and I was myself again. In an instance God showed up and I was in his marvelous light. I was set free During my seven years of unemployment, the challenges I faced were astronomical. Having no income made life very hard. I had to trust and believe that God would be there to see me through it all. I maintained my faith, and God did see me through this very dark part of my life. It is true that God will be with you and see you through anything and he is always on time. God truly makes a difference.

This book explores what ancient literary sources, namely Rig Veda and Manusmriti, have documented about Aryas and non-Aryas. Details about their origin, geographical presence and social life patterns from Rig Veda and Manusmriti serve as a literary evidence to prove that Aryas were indigenous people, initially living in the region to the east of the Indus river. In fact, the battle of Dasharajna, documented in Rig Veda, indicates that Aryas migrated westward and subsequently conquered regions to the west of the Indus river. In addition to the literary evidence, there is also archaeological evidence, from approximately similar time period and geography, in the form Indus Valley seals and artifacts. Both the literary and archeological evidence strengthen the hypothesis that Aryas were indigenous people. Aryas did not migrate to South Asia from other parts of the world.

This rhythmic read-aloud picture book biography dances through the musical childhoods of jazz legends Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong, their rise to stardom, and the friendship that kept them swingin’. Ella Fitzgerald loved to dance. When little Ella heard jazz music, the music notes moved her legs as she twirled around New York City. Way down south, Louis Armstrong loved to sing. When jazz music played, young Louis’s voice rumbled like a steam train in New Orleans. While Ella dreamed of dancing on stage and Louis of being a famous singer, it wasn’t until they switched things up that they became famous, Ella for singing and Louis playing the trumpet. The two jazz musicians had heard of each other, but never had a chance to meet. Until one magical night when they took the stage together, the music started to swing, and a lifelong musical friendship was born. This true story about world-renowned jazz artists Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong’s musical partnership is a testament to the power of dreams, music, and friendship to help us all keep playing on.
Historical Knowledge Production Cultures in Late Socialist Hungary and Croatia
Historical Knowledge Production Cultures in Late Socialist Hungary and Croatia: Expertise Unsettled offers a comparative study and analysis from the Hungarian case, and integrating academic, party, and popular historiography into a single analytical framework. Narratives concerning the history of the interwar period and the Second World War, and circumstances of their elaboration are at the forefront of this study. Réka Krizmanics argues that even within state socialist Eastern Europe, different enabling and restrictive factors were at play, and investigates the specificities of late socialism while embedding them in the context of their interwar, Stalinist and post-Stalinist legacies. “Expertise Unsettled” refers to the growing peril of historians, who proved to be often divided among themselves, and were increasingly on the defense as a guild, when literature, cinema, and interested non-professionals got involved in making and criticizing narratives of the recent past. Party history and party historians have been often sidelined in intellectual history, but the author argues that their inclusion is crucial both for a more complex understanding of what (late) state socialism meant for historians and to historicize practices of contemporary post-socialist, especially illiberal memory regimes.

MAX I knew I wanted her the moment I saw her. But it was selfish. I was selfish. Because I was only going to be in Winter Beach, Texas for three months. Long enough to find out that Grace Summers would be my muse. Just enough time to get another collection of paintings ready. As much as I wanted Grace, I couldn't commit to a relationship. I wasn't ready. And neither was she. GRACE After just ending a relationship, and losing myself completely, there was no way I was prepared to begin again. Then came Max who made me question everything I thought I knew. My art gallery was featuring a collection of his paintings for the next three months and then he'd be gone. Surely, I couldn't fall in love that quickly...or could I? Like the saying goes, when one door closes, another one opens.
