Public distribution system is primarily a social welfare and poverty eradication programme of the Government of India. Essential commodities like rice, wheat, sugar, kerosene and the like are supplied to the people under the PDS at subsidised prices. It has been one of the most important elements in India's safety net system for almost 50 years and also the most far reaching in terms of coverage as well as public expenditure on subsidies. Public Distribution System is an Indian Food Security System. Established by the Government of India under Ministry of Consumer Affairs, food and public distribution and are managed jointly by state government in India, it distributes subsidised food and non-food items to India's poor. This scheme was launched in India on June 1997. The study was based on the "consumers 'perception of consumers towards supplyco- with special reference to Chengannur taluk" is to find out the problems and the prospects faced by the local people in their real life and potential of government to strengthen the PDS through Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation the data is collected from the people residing in Chengannur taluk.

Daily self-care (oral hygiene) and adherence to a maintenance recall schedule is absolutely required for long term success. This is best discussed and conveyed to the patient at the consultation visit. Recall maintenance visit should always include the evaluation of soft and hard tissue health, patient's level of oral hygiene compliance and plaque control and the prosthesis integrity and stability. Long term success of both periodontal and implant therapy depends on an effective partnership between the patient and practioner.
