Charles S. Peirce's Mathematical Logic and Philosophy
Charles S. Peirce is generally regarded today as one of the most out-standing philosophers in American history and more particularly as the inventor of pragmatism. He also discovered several of the most important concepts of twentieth century mathematical logic, including the quantifiers, the interpretation of first-order logic by means of relations, and the concept of logical consequence. There is very little general knowledge of Peirce's influence on the development of mathematical logic and almost total ignorance of the details of that influence. The main technical results of this book establish that Peirce laid down the main elements of a framework for the model-theoretic line of development in mathematical logic.

Which of these covenants is in force today, and is Grace really the one you are living by? Is the Body of Christ living by a mixture of the two? As a Christian, Alan Winker lived under the Mosaic Law for ten years. Although he learned about the Hebrew roots of his faith, he also witnessed the confusion produced by trying to live a life of Jesus’ Grace while adhering to the Mosaic Law, the ministry of death. It also opened his eyes to the amount of law and legalism that is in operation in many grace-based churches, particularly when it concerns money—specifically tithing. Now, discover for yourself why not only tithing, but all of the Mosaic Law—including the Ten Commandments—is not for Believers in Jesus and His New Covenant. Get ready to: Have a spiritual relationship with Jesus separate from RELIGION (i.e. bondage). Walk in the FREEDOM that Jesus has purchased for you, (Galatains 5:1.) Be FREE to GIVE as the Holy Spirit directs. Alan is a Ministry School graduate of Charis Bible College, in Woodland Park, Colorado and is on the Board of Directors of God Spectrum Ministries.

In a collection of essays drawn from daily life, Dr. Alan Heath fills his first book with a hilarious account of life seen through the eyes of a dentist who never grew up. What's Wrong with that Man's Head takes us inside the mind of Dr. Heath as he shares the stories of his first communion, taken at the insistence of his Mother-in-law (Body of Christ), of avoiding the bathroom while on his first date (When Sphincters Relax), and of an ill-advised ride in a rodeo (A Mid-life Rodeo). He struggles with the challenges of parenting, debating the legend of Santa Claus (Yes, Virginia), and losing a fifty-dollar bet to his five-year-old son (Name That Tune). And you'll laugh and cry at the same time as he shares the bittersweet tale of his mother-in-law's last words (Last Words). His stories lead us on a fifty-year journey, and at the end, you may still wonder, "What's wrong with that man's head?"

"Steinberg's debut novel offers a quirky, engaging backdrop for an informative exposition on Vedic philosophy and religious symbolism... A lively novel that teaches the precepts of meditation and the roots of religion." -Kirkus Reviews "To Be Enlightened by Alan J. Steinberg is one of the most compelling and in-depth introductions to meditation... It is not often that a great novel with interesting but flawed characters teaches you so much about reaching self-actualization but this superb story did just that." -Readers' Favorite Book Review "The spiritual and philosophical blend together beautifully in this compelling novel by Dr. Alan Steinberg. His deep knowledge of Yoga, meditation, and human nature make for a page-turning read that will enlighten all readers."-Iris Krasnow, New York Times bestselling author of Camp Girls: Fireside Lessons on Friendship, Courage, and Loyalty "Dr. Alan J. Steinberg's debut novel in some ways echoes other works with similar themes, e.g., Nietzsche's Thus Spoke Zarathustra, or Siddhartha by Herman Hesse. But To Be Enlightened provides a distinctive, twenty-first-century take on setting and characters, giving it a uniquely California flavor.... To Be Enlightened is sure to illuminate the unenlightened readers, expanding their understanding of eastern philosophy and religion."-Chanticleer Book Reviews
