Der Konsum alkoholischer Getränke (Menge, Häufigkeit) in der deutschen Wohnbevölkerung wird differenziert beschrieben. Zusammenhänge zwischen den Trinkgewohnheiten einerseits sowie wichtigen Gesundheitsindikatoren andererseits werden dargestellt. Weiter werden die Sterberaten an Herz-Kreislaufkrankheiten und an allen Todesursachen von Abstinenten und Gruppen mit unterschiedlichem Alkoholkonsum verglichen. Diese erste größere Analyse zum Alkoholkonsum und seine gesundheitlichen Auswirkungen bestätigt internationale Erkenntnisse, daß leichter und moderater Alkoholkonsum unabhängig von der Getränkeart subjektive und objektive gesundheitliche Vorteile mit sich bringt und mit einer statistisch signifikant niedrigen Sterblichkeit verbunden ist, starker und sehr starker Alkoholgenuß bewirkt aber das Gegenteil.Die Analysen wurden auf dem aktuellen Stand des epidemiologischen Wissens und der statistisch-epidemiologischen Verfahren durchgeführt.

Not many disciplines can c1aim the richness of creative ideas that make up the subject of analytical mechanics. This is not surprising since the beginnings of analyti cal mechanics mark also the beginnings of the theoretical treatment of other physical sciences, and contributors to analytical mechanics have been many, inc1uding the most brilliant mathematicians and theoreticians in the history of mankind. As the foundation for theoretical physics and the associated branches of the engineering sciences, an adequate command of analytical mechanics is an essential tool for any engineer, physicist, and mathematician active in dynamics. A fascinating dis cipline, analytical mechanics is not only indispensable for the solution of certain mechanics problems but also contributes so effectively towards a fundamental under standing of the subject of mechanics and its applications. In analytical mechanics the fundamental laws are expressed in terms of work done and energy exchanged. The extensive use of mathematics is a consequence of the fact that in analytical mechanics problems can be expressed by variational State ments, thus giving rise to the employment of variational methods. Further it can be shown that the independent variables may be either displacements or impulses, thus providing in principle the possibility of two complementary formulations, i.e. a dis placement formulation and an impulse formulation, for each problem. This duality is an important characteristic of mechanics problems and is given special emphasis in the present book.

This book provides an account of the use of computational tactical metrics in improving sports analysis, in particular the use of Global Positioning System (GPS) data in soccer. As well as offering a practical perspective on collective behavioural analysis, it introduces the computational metrics available in the literature that allow readers to identify collective behaviour and patterns of play in team sports. These metrics only require the bio-dimensional geo-referencing information from GPS or video-tracking systems to provide qualitative and quantitative information about the tactical behaviour of players and the inter-relationships between teammates and their opponents. Exercises, experimental cases and algorithms enable readers to fully comprehend how to compute these metrics, as well as introducing them to the ultimate performance analysis tool, which is the basis to run them on. The script to compute the metrics is presented in Python. Eine genaue Indikationsstellung und eine fr hzeitige Behandlung in Verbindung mit Urteilsverm gen und gesundem Menschenverstand f hren zu u erst positiven Ergebnissen. Die bei Lungenerkrankungen angewandten Techniken bestehen aus manuellen Man vern, die den Abtransport von Sekret aus der Lunge des Babys erleichtern und die Atmung unterst tzen. Gemeinsam mit dem interdisziplin ren Team beteiligt sich der Physiotherapeut am Management der mechanischen Beatmung (Ger te zur Unterst tzung der Atmung). Als Teil des multiprofessionellen Teams hat der Physiotherapeut auch einen Platz im K nguru-Mutter-Projekt, sowohl prophylaktisch als auch therapeutisch. Der Physiotherapeut behandelt den Patienten durch Ber hrung und kann die K nguru-Methode als therapeutische Ressource nutzen, indem er den kinetisch-funktionellen Aspekt mit dem psychisch-emotionalen Aspekt verbindet.

Due to the immaturity of their systems, premature newborns are at high risk of developing respiratory and neuro-motor complications. For this reason, physiotherapy services are currently essential and indispensable in Brazil's Neonatal Intensive Care Units so that these newborns can undergo a faster and more effective recovery process. Precise indication and early treatment combined with judgement and common sense bring highly positive responses. The techniques used in pulmonary pathologies consist of manual manoeuvres that facilitate the removal of secretion from the baby's lungs and help with breathing. Together with the interdisciplinary team, the physiotherapist takes part in the management of mechanical ventilation (machines that help with breathing). As part of the multi-professional team, the physiotherapist also has a place in the kangaroo mother project, both prophylactically and therapeutically. The physiotherapist treats the patient through touch and can use the kangaroo method as a therapeutic resource, linking the kinetic-functional aspect with the psycho-emotional one.

L'indicazione precisa e il trattamento precoce, uniti al giudizio e al buon senso, portano a risposte altamente positive. Le tecniche utilizzate nelle patologie polmonari consistono in manovre manuali che facilitano la rimozione delle secrezioni dai polmoni del bambino e aiutano la respirazione. Insieme all' quipe interdisciplinare, il fisioterapista partecipa alla gestione della ventilazione meccanica (macchine che aiutano la respirazione). In quanto parte dell' quipe multiprofessionale, il fisioterapista ha anche un ruolo nel progetto della madre canguro, sia a livello profilattico che terapeutico. Il fisioterapista tratta il paziente attraverso il tatto e pu utilizzare il metodo canguro come risorsa terapeutica, collegando l'aspetto cinetico-funzionale con quello psico-emotivo.
