"And These Three Remain" is a Scriptural Study based on 1 Corinthians 13:13. "And these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love." "And These Three Remain" seeks to cross reference other Scriptures related to these traits: faith, hope, and love. In some cases, the author offers her own insight into the Scripture that is referenced. There is a place at the end of each chapter for you to record your thoughts or feelings about that particular trait. Excerpt from "And These Three Remain" According to the CCC, faith is both a gift from God and a human act by which the believer gives personal adherence to God. It is both a theological virtue given by God as grace, and an obligation which flows from the first commandment of God. Faith has two elements: (1) being convinced of the truth, certain of reality, & having evidence of unseen things; (2) believing, hoping in, embracing, & seizing the truth.Faith can be a very difficult thing to practice these days. Everywhere you look, people are letting each other down. Marriages fail because spouses don't want to keep their vows anymore. Business ventures fail because the parties involved no longer want to keep their word. The difference is, God will never let you down, so you can always have faith in Him. Trust in Him to help you to keep your faith when things aren't going so well. Faith is mentioned many times in the Bible- it is very important in our walk with Christ. Without faith, we have nothing. Sometimes, its hard to have faith as we live our daily lives. There's nothing physical that we can place our faith in, as those who lived with Christ did. Faith is evidence of a real relationship with our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ.Matthew 6:30"If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?" Author's Note: So...DON'T FRET God takes care of the little things- you're a BIG part of His creation. Why would he not take care of you? Luke 17:6"He replied, "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea, ' and it will obey you." Author's Note: Do you realize how TINY a mustard seed is? That's all the faith it takes to move mountains Wow Matthew 8:26"He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm" Author's Note: Once again, we hear Christ say "why be afraid? I will take care of things " Just have faith- God will handle any situation you can throw at Him He can take it- just give it over & have FAITH Ephesians 2: 8-9"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast."Author's Note: So- you can't work your way into salvation. God gave GRACE (God's Riches At Christ's Expense) so that you didn't have to pay your own debt of sin. Have faith in that
A massive solar flare devastated civilization, returning humanity to near barbarism. Teenagers Blaine and Kara, along with both an old friend and new ally, have managed to survive among the deadly and unforgiving conditions. They are threatened not only by desperate humans that know no other way to survive than to prey upon others, but also by the Intruders, hideous creatures that destroy everything in their path. The group is forced to move constantly to avoid attacks, but Kara's love for Blaine is unyielding as they both grow accustomed to their newly found gift, the ability to catch glimpses of the future through shared visions. One unwelcome vision haunting Kara could mean her love for Blaine comes with a terrible price, a price she is not willing to pay.
How far are you willing to run for your freedom?Hidden and hunted for nearly eight years, Pika and her companions must learn to survive in the world of chaos that is the Continent. Emperor Sinistra will stop at nothing to find them, and all who aid them are destroyed. With little idea of who they are or where to run, these wanted children--though hardly children anymore--must face their tumultuous past, their bleak future, and their dangerous present, all with the hope that somehow, someday, they will be free again.

In the aftermath of the 2020 U.S. presidential election, Krista Comer invited fifteen colleagues into a conversation about feminism and the U.S. West. From her travels over some thirteen thousand miles to places chosen by participants comes a remarkable series of dialogues focusing on questions about the where of us-the places that we love or belong, or don’t belong, and who we are in them.Living West as Feminists moves from travelogue to interviews to critical meditations. It asks who one’s people are, to whom one feels accountable, and how we might make peace with the itinerant, often displaced lives of late-stage capitalist culture. Ultimately, the book understands feminism not as a specific politics or set of theories but as a network of relations. Its coalitional perspective allows for coming together even while distinguishing feminists who write from Black, Indigenous, queer, Chicanx, and materialist perspectives. Feminist rest areas, in which relational securities find footing, can create the most priceless resource in desperate times: well-being and political hope.
