This book is a man’s education manual about the health effects of hormone imbalance, but just as importantly, it’s a must-read for the women in their life, since it is often the women who inspire and coax men to break through their denial and seek help when they encounter health challenges. That cluster of mid-life hormonal declines, characterizing the medical term Andropause, fits the definition of a significant life challenge, one which nearly all men will eventually face, yet very few of them even realize the condition exists, much less that the vexing symptoms they experience can be remedied. Male menopause (MAN-opause) is a little reported and little understood phenomenon which, as this book shows, may be affecting men at younger ages and for far longer in life than ever recorded before. Using the latest medical science findings, MAN-opause explains in understandable language how any man---with or without a woman’s participation--can take proactive steps, at any stage of life, to neutralize the impact of Andropause and its wide range of debilitating symptoms.

I am pleased to introduce my original poetry book, "Love, Sex and Pain". As a young male contemporary poet I wanted to write in a voice that reflects a place that is not often explored from a man's perspective who may not have the words to express their deepest intimate thoughts."Love, Sex and Pain" shows raw emotion, voice, rhythm and rhyme. One buyer of the book read one poem and said "its perfect and I need to buy a red candle".My interpretation of events evokes a feeling in making the reader feel things as if they never felt them before. In the same token, it can make the reader reminisce. In the readers search for something different my exotic poetry will help them lose and find themselves breathless. My poetry will make the reader forget their subway stop.

The Food IS Medicine series emphasizes the powerful effect that an organic, plant-based diet has in disease prevention and recovery. The evidence provided in this series suggests that when a diet consists of a wide variety of health-building foods, it protects cells from degeneration and affords greater potential for a longer life. Volume Three compiles summaries of current scientific studies that spotlight the foremost dietary hazards to human health. High on this list are meat, dairy products, and sugar. Processed foods, food additives and food contaminants are also proving to be a potential cause of chronic illness. Brian Clement, PhD, NMD, LN, advocates that avoiding "non-foods" and an ever-increasing group of man-made products is just as important in disease prevention and longevity as the consumption of a proper diet. This indispensable reference provides key findings on dozens of conditions and their relationship to the foods we eat.

A thought-provoking and engaging guide to the legal, moral, and political issues that arise when the United States goes to war. From the American Revolution to the Bush administration's new type of war on terror, Waging War on Trial views warfare from a legal, social, cultural, and political standpoint. Included are homefront debates during major hostilities, "brushfire" incidents, and how the events of September 11th have shaped our domestic wartime policy. The battle continues today as the President and Congress debate over who begins and ends military operations. Questions arise on how dissenters and minorities are treated and if America can legally control the behavior of our soldiers. It's an intricate interplay between war and America's institutions.A–Z entries on key people such as Oliver Wendell Holmes and Senator Lee Overman, court decisions such as Abrams v. United States and Schenck v. United States, events such as the Gulf War, and issues such as the suspension of the writ of habeas corpusA chronology spanning the history of waging war from 1792, which saw the formation of the Society of Cincinnatus, through 2002, with the United States contemplating war with Iraq

'The Search for a Common Identity' explores the process by which Scottish Baptists came to recognize the need for a union of Baptist churches in Scotland prior to 1869. This book identifies the major leaders in each of the three main Baptist streams in the early nineteenth century and shows how they came to the conviction that it was important for them to establish a common identity. At the heart of their unity was an enthusiasm for evangelism. The Baptist Home Missionary Society was formed in 1827. Its early successes demonstrated the wisdom of cooperation between the different Baptist agencies in Scotland. There had been three attempts to form a union of churches that failed because differences of perspective could not be reconciled. The principal achievement of the 1869 Baptist Union was in enabling Baptists with different theological opinions to come together to promote common practical objectives. In short, a shared sense of purpose led to the growth and establishment of the Baptist Union of Scotland.
