Engineering Mathematics is the unparalleled undergraduate textbook for students of electrical, electronic, communications and systems engineering. Tried and tested over many years, this widely used textbook is now in its 5th edition, having been fully updated and revised. This new edition includes an even greater emphasis on the application of mathematics within a range of engineering contexts. It features detailed explanation of why a technique is important to engineers. In addition, it provides essential guidance in how to use mathematics to solve engineering problems. This approach ensures a deep and practical understanding of the role of mathematics in modern engineering.
A market-leading text providing a fundamental source of knowledge on key mathematical concepts every engineer needs. Mathematics for Engineers, 5th edition by Croft and Davidson, is the ultimate textbook in the field that will offer you the tools and support you need to develop vital mathematical skills for your profession. Practical, informal, and accessible, this book covers all requirements for a first-year engineering maths course, together with introductory material for even more advanced topics. Although the breadth of knowledge introduced requires a firm grasp of algebra to perform the techniques of calculus, the textbook will guide you through the foundations of the discipline and help you develop and nurture your skills gradually, introducing more complex concepts as you progress through the chapters. The latest edition combines traditional learning methods with interactive examples that will further support your learning, encouraging you to participate actively in the learning process and perform the relevant calculations to work through them. The main features also include: A brief introduction of the material in each chapter, followed by an explanation of the concepts presented.Examples and applications in each chapter that will help you cement your knowledge on the topics, encouraging you to participate in the problem-solving process.Highlighted key points and important results, helping you remember what you study - especially during the revision process. How fortunate we were to have role models, someone to learn from and admire, to connect with and develop through their influence. My grandparents campaigned and challenged discrimination, they promoted equality and freedom. They were inspirational, it is only many years after their deaths that I found out what truly remarkable people they were. They came from opposite classes but both had a united belief in making the world a better place. They were Socialists and Activists and they educated us four grandchildren with their patience and love.
This book is a tool for saving relationships before and after they begin. Saving the marriage can save the lives of everyone involved. "Under the Dark Light" is the first book of poetry published by Damaris Croft. This book contains compilations of poetry and journal entries for an emerging mind. The photos serve as a reminder that the simplest objects can hold meaning. The Illustrations are a satirical approach to her opinions.
