Friend. Lover. Imposter. Who is Cate Kay? A Reese’s Bookclub pick and a must-read book for 2025 in both Stylist and Cosmo 'A standout, multi-layered novel that will have you hooked' Sun 'We were obsessed with this page turner' Closer Cate Kay is the most famous author on the planet. But it’s just a name. Somehow, the woman behind the books has remained completely anonymous. Anne Marie Callahan is the name nobody knows. Annie knows there’s no one left to connect the dots between the novelist and the girl who ran away all those years ago. If you asked, she’d say her name was Cass Ford. That’s what her barista shouts each morning. And it’s how she introduces herself to the woman she’ll eventually call the love of her life. Three names, three lives. Cate Kay is finally ready to tell you who she really is. And when the truth is out, will everyone’s favourite novelist hold on to her place in our hearts or are some betrayals impossible to forgive? ‘This story swept me away with its big dreams, love, and unexpected twists.’ Reese Witherspoon ‘Such clever and multilayered plotting from a highly original storyteller.' Edel Coffey, Irish Times bestselling author of Breaking Point ‘Brilliantly entertaining’ Good Housekeeping

" The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo meets First Lie Wins in this electric, voice-driven debut novel about an elusive bestselling author who decides to finally confess her true identity after years of hiding from her past. Cate Kay knows how to craft a story. As the creator of a bestselling book trilogy that struck box office gold as a film series, she's one of the most successful authors of her generation. The thing is, Cate Kay doesn't really exist. She's never attended author events or granted any interviews. Her real identity had been a closely guarded secret, until now. As a young adult, she and her best friend Amanda dreamed of escaping their difficult homes and moving to California to become movie stars. But the day before their grand adventure, a tragedy shattered their dreams and Cate has been on the run ever since, taking on different names and charting a new future. But after a shocking revelation, Cate understands that returning home is the only way she'll be a whole person again."
In Pink: The Personal Story of a Mary Kay Pioneer Who Made History Shaping a New Path to Success for Women
In Pink is the memoir of a self-made woman who succeeded on her own terms by seizing the opportunity created by Mary Kay Ash when she founded her unique company at the very epoch of the women's movement in America. From humble beginnings bidding peas for her family's east Texas agri-business to overseeing a multi-million dollar international cosmetics enterprise, In Pink is the uniquely feminine success story of a woman who attained her dreams while staying true to the perennial Mary Kay values of "God first, family second, and career third." In Pink is also the memoir of a generation of women who came of age at a time when women were just beginning to find their voice in the corporate world and redefine their role as equals among their male counterparts. Using the Mary Kay model, Doretha Dingler became a business owner in the deep south in the 1960s, when a woman still had to have her husband's signature to obtain a loan, and ultimately came to lead a sales force comprised of thousands of like-minded women determined to achieve success on their own terms. Over a nearly forty year career with Mary Kay, Doretha Dingler went from being put on notice of impending termination as a consultant to the very top of the Mary Kay sales force, retiring as the No. 1 Elite Executive Independent National Sales Director (NSD) worldwide. She was one of only five NSDs to have reached that No. 1 status at the time of her retirement, with more than $10,000,000 in career earnings. Doretha was also the first NSD in the history of the company to earn over $100,000 in one month and the first to be "on-target" for a million dollar year. Doretha ultimately came to lead a $66,700,000 international sales force known in Mary Kay parlance as the "Dingler Area" that generated nineteen "National Offspring" Directors including Barbara Sunden, the current number No. 1 Elite Executive National Sales Director worldwide whose own phenomenal success has made a lasting contribution to the Dingler legacy. "One of the reasons I've been successful is that I paid close attention to what Doretha Dingler did with her Mary Kay business and what she showed me about leadership. Here is a principled woman who defines the classic role of a mentor. I also know how much Mary Kay Ash trusted her and how proud she would be to have you read this book." -Barbara Sunden, Mary Kay's current No. 1 Elite Executive Independent National Sales Director, earning over $1 million per year every year since 2008
Native American Ceremonial Dancers: The Hand Painted Silver Gelatin Prints of Kay Franke"
Kay Franke was a photographer and a long time volunteer and supporter of the PhotoCentral Program and the arts in Hayward, California. When she died in 2002, she left a rich body of hand painted silver gelatin prints of Powwow's and Native American portraits. This book is a record of vintage prints from the Kay Franke archive expressing both the traditions of Native Americans and of hand painted photography. Kay's evocative photographs are accompanied by the poetry of Victor Charlo, an elder of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes.

Comedic film actress Kay Kendall, born to a theatrical family in Northern England, came of age in London during the Blitz. After starring in Britain's biggest cinematic disaster, she found stardom in 1953 with her brilliant performance in the low-budget film, Genevieve. She scored success after success with her light comic style in movies such as Doctor in the House, The Reluctant Debutante, and the Gene Kelly musical Les Girls. Kendall's private life was even more colorful than the plots of her films as she embarked on a series of affairs with minor royalty, costars, directors, producers, and married men. In 1954 she fell in love with her married Constant Husband costar Rex Harrison and accompanied him to New York, where he was starring on Broadway in My Fair Lady. It was there that Kendall was diagnosed with myelocytic leukemia. Her life took a romantic and tragic turn as Harrison divorced his wife and married Kendall. He agreed with their doctor that she was never to know of her diagnosis, and for the next two years the couple lived a hectic, glamorous life together as Kendall's health failed. She died in London at the age of 32, shortly after completing the filming of Once More with Feeling!, her husband by her side. The Brief, Madcap Life of Kay Kendall was written with the cooperation of Kendall's sister Kim and includes interviews with many of her costars, relatives and friends. A complete filmography and numerous rare photographs complete this first-ever biography of Britain's most glamorous comic star.
