The majority of the farming community are not aware of new developments that could help them with enhancing farm productivity, meeting their requirements, or solving problems. Lab to Land has become the motto for progression in agriculture and related sectors. Disseminating the most recent research to end users involves the extension wing, a two-way bridge that connects researchers and farmers. If technology is confined to paper and within the walls of institutions, it is meaningless. Its full potential wont be achieved unless farmers - the end users, try it out in the field and provide input for further development. Not every farmer in the region can be reached by the institute. For those farmers, district-level Krishi Vigyan Kendras, also known as farmers advising centres, are in operation. To meet the requirements of farmers in many sectors, these Kendras have a variety of subject matter experts, including specialists in animal science. Subject matter specialists and scientists working in different Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVS) from the state of Punjab, Jammu andKashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand attended the same along with few stakeholders as the representatives of the farmers communities.

Bokens titel är "Den sjungande staden - en bok om körlivet i Lund". Bakom rubriken finns en outtalad fråga; är det något speciellt med körlivet i Lunds kommun? För att få svar på frågan om Lunds särprägel som körstad har redaktionen kontaktat alla Lunds körer. Mångfalden körer ger oss en ledtråd till svaret på frågan. Våren 2013 fanns det minst 120 körer i Lunds kommun. Vid halvårsskiftet samma år hade Lund 113 000 invånare. 1970 fanns det 40-talet körer och 69 000 invånare. Antalet körer ökade alltså med 200 procent under perioden, medan befolkningsökningen endast uppgick till 60 procent. I slutet på boken finns en presentation av alla körer, från ABF:s Sångargille till Änglakören. Men sammanställningen över Lunds körer kan varken bli helt korrekt eller alldeles komplett. Det bildas ständigt nya körer, medan andra läggs ner och körledare kommer och går.
