Nadia Burkett Simonutti naci el 30 de abril de 1990 en un hogar pobre de la ciudad de Santa Fe, Argentina. Con un padre alcoh lico y violento, durante su infancia recibi una educaci n fuera de lo convencional. Luch contra las estad sticas para lograr sobrevivir en un mundo ajeno y trabaj para poder auto solventar sus estudios. A los 25 a os hab a desarrollado una s lida carrera profesional y cre a tener su vida encaminada, nunca pens en la escritura como parte de su mundo. Bringing this often-invisible work into view, however, raises profound questions for citizens of cities. In Who Cleans the Park? John Krinsky and Maud Simonet explain that the work of maintaining parks has intersected with broader trends in welfare reform, civic engagement, criminal justice, and the rise of public-private partnerships. Welfare-to-work trainees, volunteers, unionized city workers (sometimes working outside their official job descriptions), staff of nonprofit park "conservancies," and people sentenced to community service are just a few of the groups who routinely maintain parks. With public services no longer being provided primarily by public workers, Krinsky and Simonet argue, the nature of public work must be reevaluated. Based on four years of fieldwork in New York City, Who Cleans the Park? looks at the transformation of public parks from the ground up. Beginning with studying changes in the workplace, progressing through the public-private partnerships that help maintain the parks, and culminating in an investigation of a park's contribution to urban real-estate values, the book unearths a new urban order based on nonprofit partnerships and a rhetoric of responsible citizenship, which at the same time promotes unpaid work, reinforces workers' domination at the workplace, and increases the value of park-side property. Higher education institutions (HEIs) have undergone transformations in recent decades, caused by government agents creating guidelines and, at the same time, gaps to be filled with knowledge, planning, execution, control, and investments, in view of the needs of the professional labor market and the dictates of social indicators accompanied by public education policies. The main objective is presented as a systematic proposal with aspects and tools of strategic management, whose main focus is how to structure and systematize a framework that aligns the needs of private HEI management based on the analysis of business strategy theories, with details of some variables necessary in each of the suggested stages. The research method adopted for the objectives is exploratory and, in terms of procedures, it falls within the scope of bibliographic research and survey-type research. Based on the systematized analysis, the aim is to offer mechanisms that enable the transformation of countless data and information into knowledge with added value to the educational services offered, aiming at competitive advantage.
