Engine sensors in a vehicle are incorporated to provide the correct amount of fuel for all operating conditions. A large number of input sensors are monitored by the engine control unit. Today, sensor technology has become common in modern vehicles. Sensors enhance safety of the people - both on board and on road, control vehicle emissions and make vehicles more efficient. In this article, we will discuss different types of engine sensors used in modern vehicles. A FORTRAN program has been developed. New numerical results are generated for in - plane compressive biaxial buckling which serve to quantify the effects of lamination scheme on buckling loading. The results indicate that the symmetric laminate is stiffer than the anti - symmetric one. This phenomenon is caused by coupling between bending and stretching which lowers the buckling loads of symmetric laminate. The aim of the present textbook was to review the importance of studying buckling of composite laminated rectangular plates from the point of view of introduction and basic definitions, the formulation of mathematical modelling of rectangular laminates, the numerical method for predicting the buckling loads and shape modes of buckling of laminated rectangular plates, studying the effect of lamination scheme on buckling loads, and finally the important results and findings of the present study.
