Este libro trata el tema de la unidad de la iglesia como Cuerpo de Cristo. No es un tema nuevo, pero s es un tema que amerita ser re-examinado. Este no es un libro de historia de la iglesia, aunque incluye ciertos rasgos hist ricos. Ya tenemos suficientes libros escritos sobre la historia de la iglesia, especialmente en el idioma ingl s. Procuro presentar este ensayo en el vocabulario m s sencillo posible y teniendo en cuenta a los creyentes y miembros fieles de la iglesia del Se or. Esta presentaci n no es un llamado al ecumenismo ni al sincretismo; es un llamado a regresar a la mesa de la comuni n. Procuro adem s, mantenerme puramente dentro de las Sagradas Escrituras, pues para m sta sigue siendo la fuente de toda inspiraci n. Presento el tema de c mo defender la iglesia del Se or o el Cuerpo de Cristo porque eso es lo que debe ocupar a la iglesia visible de Cristo en estos tiempos. Procuro no inclinarme hacia ninguna denominaci n ni menospreciar alguna de ellas. Trato de mirar la iglesia objetivamente, aunque subjetivamente estoy muy envuelto en la encrucijada religiosa. Este no es un tratado solamente para mirar los errores que estamos cometiendo contra la iglesia del Se or, sino de reiterar que la iglesia, como Cuerpo de Cristo, es indivisible. Por la gracia de Dios, soy pastor y l der conciliar, y como tal, siento gran anhelo en mostrar al mundo que nos ve y nos escucha, que no somos un pueblo dividido. Creo, que el tiempo que nos ha tocado vivir amerita y exige una iglesia unida y que predique un mensaje Cristo c ntrico. Cada generaci n de creyentes necesita confrontar la herencia y el mandato b blico que se nos ha entregado, y esta generaci n que ha entrado al nuevo milenio no es diferente. La iglesia del Se or no puede continuar contribuyendo a la confusi n religiosa que enfrenta el mundo. La iglesia vive en medio de momentos explosivos donde los ministerios tienen un gran alcance de sistemas de telecomunicaciones s per adelantados, adem s de los recursos y el poder financiero. Sabemos que el adelanto en los sistemas de comunicaciones afecta a la iglesia en forma positiva, porque le da la oportunidad de evangelizar a m s pueblos en menos tiempo, pero tambi n la afecta negativamente, porque la expone al escrutinio de tantos cr ticos y de tantos enemigos. Sabemos que Cristo no est dividido y la sociedad presente debe ver esa gran verdad en nosotros. Mi prop sito no es descubrir la verdadera iglesia, sino reiterar que somos la iglesia del Se or. Conf o este sencillo libro llegue a algunos de los creyentes que de una forma u otra han sido afectados o est n siendo afectados por la falta de unidad entre nosotros. Espero que sirva de alg n provecho tanto a l deres conciliares, como a pastores y a todo el pueblo en general. Para aquellos que s practican la coinon a por encima de los nombres y denominaciones, esta breve presentaci n puede fortalecer su apoyo a la hermandad.

Mi prop sito es de hacer un nfasis en la realidad de que a Dios no se consigue por control remoto, y que a Dios no se manipula a nuestro antojo. Muy a pesar de las muchas ofertas que se hacen a nombre de Dios, l no opera en la forma instant nea a que estamos acostum-brados a recibir las cosas, ni hace las cosas como nosotros espe-ramos, ni mucho menos en el tiempo que esperamos. Ciertamente Dios habla, pero tambi n sabe callar. Como Dios no siempre res-ponde como nosotros demandamos o esperamos, lo mejor es en-tonces aprender qu hacer en momentos o en situaciones cuando Dios hace silencio. Esta presentaci n no es una apolog a que conteste al gran tema de la soberan a de Dios. No pretendo embelesarme en una presentaci n sofisticada con un enfoque demasiado idealista. Eso queda para los fil sofos y para los grandes pensadores de las Sa-gradas Escrituras. A n as , la soberan a de Dios es un tema tan complicado que ning n te logo o fil sofo puede dar una respues-ta completa a todas las preguntas que la gente hace acerca Dios. Cuando tratamos de examinar el trato de Dios con nosotros, siempre nos vamos a encontrar con esa caracter stica insondable de nuestro Creador, que hace lo que quiere, a la hora que l quie-re, con el que l quiere. El intento principal del libro es proporcionar algunos con-sejos de c mo hacer, o no hacer cuando aparentemente Dios est en silencio o no est obrando, pues es en la prudencia y en la dis-creci n propia de Dios donde los hombres m s se aturden. La mayor a de los humanos y a n nosotros los creyentes no sabemos c mo actuar cuando no vemos a Dios obrar en los asuntos humanos. Algunos nos confundimos, otro nos rebelamos, y a otros nos sobrecoge la duda. Otros, desdichadamente sufren da- os irreparables cuando llegan hasta el extremo de proferir mal-dici n, convirti ndose as en r probos espirituales. Cuando observamos el acelerado deterioro de la raza humana, especialmente el deterioro de la familia, nos pregunta-mos si Dios todav a habla y si en realidad puede estar en control de todos los asuntos humanos. La criminalidad desenfrenada, la falta de respeto a la propiedad privada, la depravaci n moral, los grandes desfalcos de las compa as bancarias, las grandes com-pa as y ndose a la bancarrota para defraudar al gobierno y para tomarse del dinero de los menos afortunados; las diversas enfer-medades mortales, tales como el c ncer, la diabetes, las compli-caciones del coraz n, la enfermedad de los pulmones, el h gado y muchas otras enfermedades, parecen indicar que es el diablo quien est en control de la agenda humana, y no Dios. En esto se cumple aceleradamente lo que dice Pablo: "Mas los malos hom-bres ir n de mal en peor, enga ando y siendo enga ados." (2Timoteo 3:13).

Schempp, 1963).- Followed by the crown jewel of the godless radicals judicial victories, the legal termination of the unborn (Roe v. Wade, 1973).The secret formula of bypassing the people's representatives (Congress) and relying on unelected Supreme Court bureaucrats to make intemperate policies (aka judicial activism) was the backdoor the godless left had been searching for to chip away at the Constitutional rights of Americans.In recent years, if there's anything the radical left has shown us, it's that there is no depth to which they won't descend, no lie too big to tell, and no conscience strong enough to restrain them from their ultimate goal, the quest for absolute power.
