Assuredly the needed Assistance comes always, though often in a Way so verily unexpected. Almost... miraculous? Ha And so-o-o bewildering Moreover, The Help arrives unseen by man's eyes; it must be seen by the heart Patiently endure, The Help always arrives at just the right timing... IF... and only... IF... we first choose to Believe And then... Cooperate Yes... YOU must do "Your Part" {And, sorry, no one can do, or tell you, what "Your Unique Part" is Believe, for this self-help book will encourage you to find and do "YOUR PART" } There are volumes written by well-meaning, Ivy-educated, highly-experienced professionals which focus on clinical mental health. Ask around; many sufferers you know have read such books. The librarian can lead you to dozens on the shelves... after she scolds the two boys splashing each other from the water fountain. So... Why then was *this* book written? And why should a "real, down-home dude" (like you... or me) bother reading it? Because, broski, there are few (if any, really) mental health books just for men. Adult, mature men. Men like me; men like you. You & me, solidly authentic men, know damn well that "normal" men don't get where we are coming from, no matter the hard-pressed efforts we put forth to be understood. It's almost as if each man is set up to stand solo in The Fight. One man alone suffering the slog, the struggle, daily. You do have a tough fighter's Corner-man; you just don't know Him... yet This book is made manifest because I, myself -- a sufferer of life-long jacked up mental health and the oldest son of a truly great HONEST man who suffered fatally -- saw the need. This is a book for men refusing to accept someone else labeling us manic, depressive, psychotic, delusional. Thus may be the only book that confronts the damned lies about our "need to take responsibility for becoming wrong-men". This is a book written by an authentic yet broken man, for other broken men yet to become authentic. I want to help you while it can still be easy for you to change your circumstances. I want you to know that you are NOT forever stuck where you are right now with bad mental health. I want you to know that life is full of decisions, and that positive changes for your mental health can happen if you put your own efforts and faith into better decisions. Nota Bene: To achieve the change you know you want, fomenting the efforts is going to be downright soul-searingly painful. You do have the possibility for positive change offered right in front of you, right now, whether or not you accept that reality. I do and did, even though it took me over three decades to accept... and Believe. All living men do. Why not take it up? Is there seriously any good reason not to?
