Together, Jason and Lizzy make a late-night wish upon a star for snow that launches them on an incredible adventure even bigger than their recent cross-country move. Join Jason and Lizzy as they make new friends, visit far-away lands, and learn, sometimes, home is more than where you live.
Jason Marinko's Starry Nightmares is a collection of dark reality-inspired short stories, a hard-hitting companion to his revenge saga, Time the Avenger. Unique in its gritty, urban, and bleak rural landscapes with characters that personify reality-based horror, here is a taste of some of the settings and stories that comprise this collection: A public park where a teenager is confronted with evil that will have him fighting for his life. An inner-city couple stalled at the peak of a mountain road. A group of friends looking to make money by shoveling snow who encounter every parent's nightmare. These roads you have traveled and homes you have stepped into blissfully unaware are places where innocence and hope in humanity have perished. Where humans have committed atrocities upon one another under a starlit sky and few have survived to recant. Uncensored and unflinching, Jason Marinko's Starry Nightmares is suggested for mature readers only.

In this book, I will share with you some of my favourite moose encounters. Most encounters I've had with moose are in Algonquin Park Ontario. The word moose is actually the plural because it is a loan word from the Native American languages (Eastern Algonquin and Narragansett). The Algonquin word 'moosu' translates to 'he who strips bark' or 'eater of twig' and is where we get the word moose from. The male moose is called a bull, a female is a cow, and the baby is a calf or yearling. Check on YouTube for some awesome Moose videos.

The voyage of Jason and the Argonauts and their hunt for the Golden Fleece is one of the most enduringly popular of all of the Ancient Greek heroic myths. Accepting the quest in order to regain his kingdom, Jason assembled a crew of legendary heroes, including Hercules, Orpheus, Atalanta, and the twins Castor and Polydeuces. With this band of warriors and demi-gods, Jason set sail in the Argo on a journey across the known world. During their quest, the Argonauts faced numerous challenges including the Harpies, the Clashing Rocks, the Sirens, Talos, the bronze giant, the sleepless dragon that guarded the fleece, and, of course, the fickle will of the gods of Olympus. Filled with magic, monsters, sword fights, and sacrifice, this ancient adventure story is given new life by Neil Smith who also examines its historical context, its classical sources and its enduring legacy.

This guideline book was written to inspire teachers with examples of the various ways the Jason Series books can be used in their classrooms. The series includes: Giraffes Do Not Have Pockets, Giraffes Do Not Have Credit Cards, and Giraffes Do Not Have Collateral. The motivation for writing these fun stories was three-fold:1) To instill a love of reading in younger children,2) To establish sound language art skills,3) To create a positive attitude toward economic and financial literacy. Students can learn many of life's lessons as they follow Jason and his friends through a maze of experiences. Teachers can extrapolate various skill sets from the books and teach the basics of reading, economics, financial literacy, and all language arts skills. Each book is scaled in skill development and appropriate reading level. Vocabulary enhancement is a large part of the series development. The author has included lesson plans with requisite grade-level standards but encourages the teachers to mix and match the disciplines integrating them into their teaching environment. This series can be enjoyed at many different levels of K-6.
