Four Kingdoms. Lost heroes returned. Darkness encroaching. Jardus, an ordinary young man, is inadvertently caught in a secret war between the protectors of his realm and an ancient evil that seeks to claim it. After being given the choice to join the legendary fighters that defend the realm, Jardus travels with his newfound friends and companions throughout the lands, and faces enemies wrenched out of myth. Along the way, unlikely alliances are forged, new enemies are revealed, battles are waged, and legend is revealed as reality. On his adventures, Jardus learns that he and his friends will eventually have to face the ruler of the dark forces that wish to dominate the free realms. Before this final encounter takes place, however, Jardus and his allies are forced to muster all those in defense of the realms to their side in order to overcome their foes.
