Ahh, the impact of Indian art and culture on a Dutch artist in the late 1650s! Pairing Rembrandt's twenty-three surviving drawings of Shah Jahan, Jahangir, Dara Shikoh, and other Mughal courtiers with Mughal paintings of similar compositions, the book critiques the prevailing notion that Rembrandt "brought life" to the static Mughal art. With essays written by both scholars of both Dutch and Indian art, this volume demonstrates that Rembrandt's contact with Mughal painting inspired him to draw in an entirely new, refined style on Asian paper-an approach that was shaped by the Dutch trade in Asia and prompted by the curiosity of a foreign culture. Seen in this light, Rembrandt's engagement with India enriches our understanding of collecting in seventeenth-century Amsterdam, the Dutch global economy, and Rembrandt's artistic self-fashioning. In dieser Forschungsarbeit wurde die Biosorptionskapazit t von sechswertigem Chrom in Batch- oder Batch-Photobioreaktoren unter Verwendung von Scenedemussp.-Biomasse, einer in S wasser sehr verbreiteten und leicht zu kultivierenden Mikroalge, bewertet.Die in dieser experimentellen Arbeit vorgestellten Ergebnisse zeigen, dass die Biosorption von sechswertigem Chrom mit Mikroalgen zur Entfernung dieses Schadstoffs aus Abw ssern ein effizienter und wirtschaftlicher Prozess ist.

This paper addresses the problem of hexavalent chromium pollution, the regulatory framework governing the amount of hexavalent chromium in wastewater, the purification technologies commonly used for its removal and the biotechnological options that have emerged in recent decades, including biosorption.Biosorption is a method where materials of biological origin are used to remove pollutants such as metal ions from water.The advantage of this method is that it is an economical, efficient technology for dilute effluents, it generates almost no sewage sludge and it is possible to recover the metal removed. In this research work, the biosorption capacity of hexavalent chromium was evaluated in batch or batch photobioreactors using Scenedemussp. biomass, which is a very common microalgae in freshwater and easy to cultivate.The results presented in this experimental work demonstrate that the biosorption of hexavalent chromium with microalgae for the removal of this pollutant from effluents is an efficient and economical process.

Questo articolo affronta il problema dell'inquinamento da cromo esavalente, il quadro normativo che regola la quantit di cromo esavalente nelle acque reflue, le tecnologie di depurazione comunemente utilizzate per la sua rimozione e le opzioni biotecnologiche emerse negli ultimi decenni, tra cui il biosorbimento.Il biosorbimento un metodo che prevede l'utilizzo di materiali di origine biologica per rimuovere dall'acqua sostanze inquinanti come gli ioni metallici.Il vantaggio di questo metodo che si tratta di una tecnologia economica ed efficiente per effluenti diluiti, non genera quasi fanghi di depurazione ed possibile recuperare il metallo rimosso. In questo lavoro di ricerca, la capacit di biosorbimento del cromo esavalente stata valutata in fotobioreattori batch o batch utilizzando biomassa di Scenedemussp. che una microalga molto comune in acqua dolce e facile da coltivare.I risultati presentati in questo lavoro sperimentale dimostrano che il biosorbimento del cromo esavalente con le microalghe per la rimozione di questo inquinante dagli effluenti un processo efficiente ed economico.
