It was a routine case-the boys at Joe's Bar and Grille and Gun Club had hired him to go to Dallas, find the Muslim rat-bag that had killed his daughters for talking to Kuffar boys, collect a big fat reward, visit some old friends in Mayberry County, bust a few broncos and tell tall tales to people with short memories. Isn't that the way Sam Spade would have done it? Then he ran into Islam. Holy Moses became Allahu akbar. He was called a dhimmi and a Kuffar. What did he know about Islam, about Imams and Mullahs, about fatwas and hijabs, about Madrassas and the Qur'an? About as much as Barack Obama and probably a little more than Hillary Clinton. He was told the father hadn't killed the girls, their dhimmi boyfriends had. Mohammed Atta and Honi Honjour dropped by for a visit. He survived. He went to London. That's where the father of the two girls had gone...so he was told. He would be beaten and left for dead in the street; he would gain a Patron Saint that would give him a guardian angel puppy dog; he would fall through a wall at Lambeth Palace; he would be arrested for beating up teenagers on a talk show; he would commit one blasphemy after another. Wasn't that how Sam Spade did it? He would be turned into a ten-year-old boy so he could sneak into a Madrassas to spy on the Keepers of the Fleas. That was where he would meet Aisha and nothing would ever be the same. He would learn about Islam the hard way. He would be chased through the streets of London wearing her clothes...wouldn't he ever learn? There would be no turning back...

Why can't Aisha go on colorful, faraway vacations like her friends? A bighearted, universal story about living in the moment and seeing the beauty on your own doorstep. Every year on vacation, Aisha and her parents take the same trip from their home in Jakarta to Grandma's village in the countryside. This year, Aisha wants to see something different Like the crunchy white snow her friend Jennie will explore (sort of like that white frozen treat Aisha enjoys on the road). Or the blue swimming pool that Dismas is floating in (almost as blue as the sparkling sea that Aisha can see out her window). And those tropical fish her neighbor saw at the aquarium--were they like the rainbow kites Aisha sees soaring in the sky? In both words and light, airy illustrations, first-time author Nabila Adani brings home an appreciation of the simple beauties around us--and the special warmth of family that welcomes you with open arms.

This book is about Aisha bint Abu Bakr, who was the beloved wife of the noble Prophet, the daughter of the blessed Prophet's best friend, Abu Bakr and the Mother of the Believers. She is one of the best examples for Muslims to look to for inspiration and her story sheds light on the life of the early Muslims and the Messenger of Allah. Prepared for young readers, the book delivers a life of love, dedication, and struggle. Devoted to the beloved Prophet and to Islam, Aisha spent her life in the service of Allah. She was the best example of helping the poor and needy and giving charity. Together with the noble Prophet, she lived a simple life, fasting and praying constantly and often going without herself. She learned everything from the blessed Prophet and spent her time improving herself religiously. The Messenger of Allah chose to be with her during his final illness, preferring her company to that of anyone else. She looked after him devotedly and after his death, she dutifully spent her time teaching others about Islam to ensure it was practiced correctly. Aisha ensured that many of Allah's Messenger's teachings were passed on so that we can benefit from them today. Her invaluable legacy will be a source of inspiration for Muslims until the end of time.

Aisha al-Ba‘uniyya (c.1456–1517) was one of the greatest women mystics in Islamic history. A Sufi master and an Arab poet, her religious writings were extensive by any standard and extraordinary for her time. In medieval Islam a number of women were respected scholars and teachers, but they rarely composed works of their own. Aisha al-Ba‘uniyya, however, was prolific. She composed over twenty works, and likely wrote more Arabic prose and poetry than any other Muslim woman prior to the twentieth century. The first full-scale biography of al-Ba‘uniyya in the English language, this volume provides a rare glimpse into the life and writings of a medieval Muslim woman in her own words. Homerin presents her work in the wider context of late-medieval Islamic spirituality, examining the influence of figures such as Ibn al-‘Arabi, al-Busiri and Ibn al-Farid, and emphasising the role of the person of the Prophet Muhammad in her spirituality. Aisha al-Ba‘uniyya is a fascinating introduction to a figure described by a sixteenth-century biographer as ‘one of the marvels of her age’.
