Formula for Wealth by Alan James details realistic and measurable ways to achieve certain financial goals. As clearly stated by the author, it is not a get-rich-quick scheme. Rather, it is a book for the wealth builders who are willing to put in the effort and the time it takes. A wide range of subjects that determine wealth is examined: personal finance, wealth management, spending habits, lifestyle choices, unplanned expenses, assets and liabilities, and much more.As the title suggests, Formula for Wealth includes some calculations, which would help in mapping out plans with specific time frames for achieving financial goals. In his richly packed book about acquiring wealth, Alan James leaves nothing untouched.. . . I recommend Formula for Wealth to anyone who is serious about taking their financial condition to the next level. Foluso Falaye for Readers' Favorite
We look forward to Christmas. We prepare for Christmas. We celebrate Christmas. But do we read the Christmas scriptures? Do we really know and understand and embrace them?"They will call him Immanuel" takes on that challenge as it accompanies the reader on a tour of the two gospel stories of Jesus' conception and birth - stories that are short and sweet, but packed with incident and surprise, with angels, miracles, prophecies and songs, and with history and theology, and with so much more.Easy-to-read daily bible readings guide the reader clearly and caringly, offering refreshment, nourishment, explanation, encouragement. The readings will serve as an engaging, faith-invigorating companion for the Advent-Christmas-Epiphany season. _______________________________________Charles Price has commented: "This series of readings by Alan James, leading up to and beyond Christmas, present a heart-warming, mind-stimulating journey tracing the familiar story that surrounds the birth of Jesus, with fresh insights. This is Scripture interpreted in a wider theological context, and reaching beyond the mind to the heart. For those who wish to go deeper, there are footnotes to enable a fuller study, which gives these studies a very wide sphere of usefulness. For those sceptical about Christianity and Christmas, to go through these readings daily will give your mind and soul something to grapple with, and the hope of a new freedom to enjoy."Charles Price, who has authored seven books, serves internationally as a Christian conference speaker, and broadcasts teaching programmes on Living Truth radio and television in many countries. He was formerly the Senior Pastor of The People's Church in Toronto, and, before that, was the Principal of Capenwray Bible School, Lancashire.
Jesus' last journey from Galilee to Jerusalem was a journey of destiny that was rich with kingdom ministry. It was a journey into confrontation and suffering and crucifixion. It was a journey into victory and vindication. It was a journey he took in order to win our salvation. But how well do we know that journey?"The Messiah must suffer and rise" retraces Jesus' steps as it takes the reader on a tour of some of the powerful scriptures that tell of the action-packed last days of the Son of Man, the Messiah, the King of the Jews, the Son of God.Easy-to-read daily gospel readings guide the reader clearly and caringly, offering refreshment, nourishment, explanation, encouragement. The Lidice Shall Live movement is often overlooked by historians, sometimes treated as a peripheral, insignificant by-product of Operation Anthropoid, except for general references like "Lidice was rebuilt with the help of British miners...". Amongst the bookshelves and in the download sections of libraries, there is a dearth of satisfactory material dealing with how the village of Lidice came to be rebuilt; and the Lidice Shall Live campaign, despite years of awareness-raising, continues to be perceived as an enigmatic symbol of brotherhood, with little in the public domain existing to give it firm foundations. Up until now. The Lidice atrocity impacted an American society still reeling from the Japanese bombing attack on Pearl Harbour in December 1941. There, the sense of collective moral outrage meant Lidice was an effective propaganda tool to help energise the American public for the fight against Nazi Germany and Japan, bolstering calls for the nation's full entry into the European War. Britain was in a different situation. There, a mix of nationalities and classes had been actively working with a common purpose to survive the war for well over two years-motivation was not an issue. Empathy and camaraderie for those experiencing the fullest fury of Nazi tyranny led to a fundraising cause to build the village anew. The Path to Lidice honours the tens of thousands of people across Britain and beyond yet to be thoroughly acknowledged and recognised for the part they played in selflessly giving of themselves to help Lidice live again, the victims of atrocity in all its forms, and at all levels, everywhere. And for that reason, the book is for all of us.
