Memories O' Mine Growing Up in Scotland 1930

Anna Clark Hender was born in Dundee, Scotland, in 1930. Though fate, marriage, and her beautiful soprano voice would later take her to Canada and the United States, in "Memories O' Mine" she shares her memories of everyday life in a Great Britain on the cusp of WWII, so different from what we know today: "Dad was one of eight and Mum of seven kids. All married and living in a large town on the east coast of Scotland. Closeness of family and community helped us have a happy childhood in spite of "the Depression", and World War two. Born in a time of Gas Mantles for light and coal fires for heat.(coal carts being drawn by huge Clydesdale horses). Difficult times to imagine in this day and age. I don't imagine, I REMEMBER. Mum and Dad both worked and my earliest memories were of being wrapped in a blanket against the cold damp Scottish mornings and carried to Gran's to be sat in front of her big fireplace. The fire was burning brightly, as it was the only heat in the house. The adults had already had their breakfast and were on their way to work. The big kitchen was plenty busy though as Gran also cared for five of my cousins." From The Author: "I will always be proud to be born a Scot, in a country of great beauty, stormy history and honest, kind and "couthie" people."

"K, can you hear me?"I said, "Yes, I can hear you."He said, "K, it's amazing here I am everywhere and nowhere "This was the first message Katye Anna received from her husband, Allan, after he birthed into spirit. Since his physical death, they have continued to connect through soul love. Loved ones in spirit form want to communicate with you. Because Katye Anna can hear them, they often "pop in" while she's giving an intuitive reading or healing session. They ask her to give a message to their loved ones. Katye Anna shares inspiring stories from loved ones who have birthed into spirit. She shares the many ways those who have birthed into spirit seek to communicate. She offers insight how you too can connect with your loved ones now living in the place many call Heaven. While the soul messages in this book may have been given to someone else you might find yourself identifying with one or more of these messages. As you read the different messages know that your loved ones in spirit are close by. They want you to know that they can still see you and hear you. These messages are meant to inspire you. They are to help you embrace the fact that connecting with the world of spirit isn't just for mystics and saints. It's for everyone. IT'S FOR YOU
The History Wars

The History Wars

Stuart Macintyre; Anna Clark

Melbourne University Press

The nation's history has probably never been more politicised than it is today. Politicians, journalists, columnists, academics and Australians from all walks of life argue passionately - and often, ideologically - about the significance of the national story: the cherished ideal of the 'fair go', the much contested facts of Indigenous dispossession, the Anzac legend, and the nation's strategic alliance with the United States. Historians have become both combatants and casualties in this war of words. In ""The History Wars"", Stuart Macintyre and Anna Clark explore how this intense public debate has polarised the nation and paralysed history departments. This edition includes a new afterword by Stuart Macintyre which recounts, with rueful irony, the outbreak of controversy that followed the book's original publication, and the further light it shed on the uses and abuses of Australian history.
