CRAZY is a Crime Thriller novella by Adam Stone. The city streets are flooded with a new narcotic, driving users to the brink of insanity... and then just a little further. The police are desperate to maintain control. The judicial system is falling apart and every aspect of society is being affected as madness runs wild. In the midst of all the gibbering, twitching, frothing madness is one very sinister individual. Calling himself simply 'Crazy,' he claims to be the source of the insanity. This is his story."...I am the crazy of a whole generation, I am the voices in thousands of heads, I am a wave of laughter and the sound of a mirror shattering around broken, bleeding knuckles. I'm mumbling, I'm gibbering fear, I'm visions, hallucinations, paranoia and even love. I am everything that is crazy in this city. I am crazy. I need this city and maybe when this city falls I too will find my end. I fervently hope so... Oh yes, we mustn't forget fervent hope... I'm that too..."

A smart, funny, poignant, very modern autobiographical coming-of-age novel, written when the author was sixteen years old. Like Catcher in the Rye, Crazy appeals to the teenager in us all. Benni himself is partially paralyzed and a serial failure (he's been kicked out of four boarding schools in his short life and has just entered his fifth). So he's a little odd, but he's cool and he finds other strange boys to hang with. Together they set out to experience what they can: girls, booze, sex, philosophy, drugs, sex, books, music, sex-pretty much everything whatever. And Benni lets us in on "the crazy life" he figures is the only way to deal with the crazy world.

'Crazy' Chris Lewis played in 32 Test Matches and 53 One-Day Internationals for England. At one point he was regarded as one of the best all-round cricketers the country has ever produced. However, feeling at odds with the middle-class nature of the sport, he regularly courted controversy off the field. The tabloids happily lapped up Lewis' transgressions, such as missing a Test with sunstroke, arriving late to a match due to oversleeping, as well as naming England players involved in a match-fixing scandal, something which led to his early retirement at the age of just 30. From there he became a loner, before he was arrested in 2008 for importing cocaine from the Caribbean and sentenced to 13 years in prison. In Crazy, Lewis recounts his remarkable, redemptive story, firstly as a child arriving in England from Guyana with his parents, through to his burgeoning cricketing career, international recognition, his arrest and subsequent trial, his time in prison, and how he finally put his life back together.

‘In that split second, perhaps the first sobering thoughts I have had in months become so obvious and apparent, and when that officer returns after having checked the cans and found cocaine I know that, from that moment, everything is going to change.’‘Crazy’ Chris Lewis played in thirty-two Test Matches and fifty-three One-Day Internationals for England. At one point he was regarded as one of the best all-round cricketers the country has ever produced. However, feeling at odds with the middle-class nature of the sport, he regularly courted controversy off the field – and the tabloids happily lapped it up. His naming of England players involved in a match-fixing scandal led to his early retirement at the age of just 30. After this, he withdrew from the limelight until, in 2008, he was arrested for importing cocaine from the Caribbean and sentenced to thirteen years in prison. From his arrival in England from Guyana with his parents, through his colourful cricketing career, his arrest and subsequent trial, his time in prison and how he finally put his life back together, here Lewis recounts his remarkable, redemptive story.
