Daniel: A Play

Daniel: A Play

Philip Begho

Philip Begho
2001
nidottu
This verse play, which has been described as magnificent, is a recreation of the biblical story of Daniel in the lions' den. The verse, beautiful and powerful, incisively brings alive the dilemma of Daniel when he is called to choose between God and his intimidating human benefactor Darius, and the play achieves the very rare feat of at once being a delight for the reading eyes and a joy for the performing stage. "Daniel" was 1st runner-up in the prestigious 1994 ANA drama competition, beaten only by the author's other play, "Esther".

A visit from a guardian angel changed my life and gave me the passion to help others by giving them faith and hope. This is a true story of my life centered on compassion and always seeking the way to heal the wounded world. The world has been wounded by our own words, deeds, and misunderstandings. I wrote down as many things I could to keep the mind healthy. It took my life's research and faith to help the world and us, coincide with God.This book has a picture of the angel's face that visited me. It also, has diagrams explaining the trinity of God and how we are connected to the trinity. It will help you understand the Holy Spirit. I explain why there is evil in the world and some of the main confusions of the Bible. This book was written to preserve the living and to help with relationships. It is also, my view of a utopian society of what I learned from God through Jesus. The angel visitation was my sign to keep me going. I wanted to share my thoughts in order to keep from being too elated and let others find life so they too can share who they are as a Christian or anyone else who wants to learn how to treat others good and be treated good.
Mas, n o cabe a n s ignorar a Palavra prof tica, e sim interpret -la luz do contexto, segundo a ilumina o do Esp rito Santo. Maranata
The Gospel according to Daniel – A Christ–Centered Approach

Often we read the book of Daniel in one of two ways--either as a book about a heroic man whose righteousness should inspire us to keep the faith no matter what our circumstances, or as a roadmap to the end times that can, through careful study, perhaps tell us the day and hour (or nearly so) of Christ's return. Both, says Bryan Chapell, are sadly missing the bigger picture, that God is the hero of this story and he is in the midst of his unrelenting plan to rescue his people from their sin and its consequences. We mustn't simply make the man Daniel the object of our worship nor the subject of our debates. We may differ about prophetic details, Chapell says, but we should never miss the point that the book of Daniel is, like all of Old Testament Scripture, pointing us toward the grace of God, ultimately revealed in Christ.Pastors, teachers, and individual Christians studying the book of Daniel will find this volume a welcome addition to their library.
Suppose The Relevance Of Daniel: A Fact or Fiction
In my Bible studies over the years, I began to see many similarities between life around me and across the globe with what is written in the Bible, especially as it pertains to a prophecy. In my opinion, the Bible from Genesis through Revelation is a prophecy. The very soon return, I hope and pray, of our Lord and savior. Daniel was blessed with receiving amazing visions and dreams from God about the history of man--past, present, and future. I also tried to work in other pertinent scriptures from other books as well. I have been accused by some that I'm writing about doom and gloom, but those remarks come from those who are not believers. I pray for them.
Studies in the Book of Daniel: A Bible Commentary on the History, Captivity and Language of Prophet Daniel
This commentary on the Biblical Book of Daniel answers crucial questions about the significance of his prophecy, and of the culture he lived among. Not content with simply interpreting the prophecy of Daniel, Robert Dick Wilson delves into the social, historical and cultural aspects of ancient Babylonia. The significance of Nebuchadnezzar II in the story of Daniel, how his dreams were interpreted to become some of the most significant aspects of Old Testament prophecy, is discussed.Other chapters focus on the Chaldeans and their society, the opposition that Babylon had to Israel - Daniel himself being a captive Hebrew man, taken from his homeland as a child - and the possibility that Nebuchadnezzar was mentally ill. The allusions to the events at the King's court in the Book of Daniel are examined in detail, with conclusions drawn to the most reasonable extent possible.
