Turkey's national counter-trafficking rhetoric is influenced by ideas about 'irregular' migration, national security and 'illegal' working. Having adopted definitions and legislation from the UN Protocol, sex trafficking is framed as a problem of organised crime, rather than of migration and global inequality. This book highlights the weaknesses of an international discourse on human trafficking and examines its impact in a local context. Emel Coskun explores Turkey's national policy and practice by looking at the interactions between sex trafficking, prostitution and migration in the country. She argues that Turkey's prostitution and migration regimes weaken the protection system and can lead to the re-victimisation of victims of sex trafficking. This is especially visible in national legislation and law enforcement where there are attempts to distinguish between 'forced' and 'voluntary' prostitution.Based on interviews with policy makers, advisors, Turkish government officials, police officers, professionals from NGOs and lawyers, this research challenges institutional responses to sex trafficking both on national and international levels and makes wider policy recommendations founded on empirical research. The book adds to understanding of the prostitution regime in Turkey, its effect on sex trafficking and the needs of trafficked as well as migrant women.

The purpose of my study is to analyse the political relations between the European Union and Russia in the period from 1990 to 2001. This period was very interesting and dynamic in international relations that's why I choose it. Since the end of the Cold War, all actors have encountered the need to revise their foreign policy priorities and security threat perceptions in accordance with new parameters. Both Europe and Russia have faced new realities and new challenges. While European Community was transforming into European Union and remaining a key organization in Europe in terms of stability, efficiency, dynamism and integration. The economic integration, political partnership, as well as social, legal and culturel cooperation gave momentum. The end of Soviet system has brought the fore the centuries old debate about the Russia's relations with the Europe. Europe has a strong interest that a stable, democratically oriented and prosperous Russia overcome its isolation during communist times. So the European Union has consistently tried to encourage the creation of more favourable conditions in Russia. I try to explain why the European Union has not become fully coherent and effective force international affairs vis-a vis Russia. I firstly attempt to give a brief historical background in part one. The evolution of the legal, institutional, political and economic relations between the European Union and Russia after the Cold War period are taken up in part two. I analyse the main issues in the European Union and Russia political relations in part three. Some of them which are regarded as important in my study are: problematic Russian foreign policy towards the former Soviet periphery including its special relationship with the Baltic States and Commonwealth of Independent States; Northern Dimension and its effects on the relations with special emphasis on Kaliningrad and soft security challenges diverging and converging interests of the EU and Russia in the Caucasus and Central Asia especially concerning the great game on energy politics, the implication of the EU enlargement in general on EU-Russia relations and ongoing debate over NATO enlargement. Lastly, I give some future perspectives and conclusions within the context of the research.

Combined treatment of cytoreductive surgery (CRS) and hyperthermic intraoperative intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) introduced by our leader Paul H. Sugarbaker are performed to treat peritoneal metastases by surgeons all around the world. Therefore this book is focused on detailed surgical anatomy of the peritoneum, preoperative clinical assessment of the peritoneal surface malignancy, patient preparation and operation room equipments, different surgical procedures for CRS and reconstruction, intraoperative hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) and neoadjuvant intraperitoneal chemotherapy, early postoperative intraperitoneal chemotherapy (EPIC) and molecular basis of peritoneal surface malignancies. The chapter on molecular mechanisms of the formation of peritoneal carcinomatosis provides insight into a rapidly expanding knowledge within this speciality. The price-setting newsvendor model is used to address the single period joint pricing and inventory control problem. The objective is to set the optimal price and replenishment quantity of a single product in order to maximize the expected profit. Products with a short selling season and relatively long replenishment lead times such as fashion goods are the most relevant application areas of the model. The focus of the work is the generalization of the model with respect to the modeling of uncertainty in demand. The author presents an analytical and empirical study which compares different demand models with a more flexible model based on price and inventory optimization. She concludes that using a general model can increase the profits significantly.
