A Sketch of the Life and Labors of George Whitefield, a classical book, has been considered important throughout the human history, and so that this work is never forgotten we at Alpha Editions have made efforts in its preservation by republishing this book in a modern format for present and future generations. This whole book has been reformatted, retyped and designed. These books are not made of scanned copies of their original work and hence the text is clear and readable.
Lewis tells us what we have always longed for, yet somehow knew all along...Under the guise of fiction and fantasy, Lewis has slipped into our barren psyches and aching hearts... You Are Who He Says You Are is an inspirational analysis of C. S. Lewis's Till We Have Faces, a powerful book that speaks of the painful yet beautiful journey of becoming persons. Allegorically, Lewis wrote of Queen Orual, an ugly woman who despised her femininity and was beset by identity issues. She painfully discovers that she cannot find God without embracing her true self. This internal struggle is thus both ancient and yet so relevant-especially in contemporary culture obsessed with gender identity and mired in a battle that has left us critically wounded. Just as Lewis called his readers to look up and see beyond the transient natural realm, author Nikki Felice suggests that the Spirit is calling us to see ourselves and our God-given purpose with new eyes. Although this work focuses primarily on the spiritual restoration of one's identity in Christ, it also reveals the transformational power of listening prayer and the wholeness that can be found as we joyfully allow our loving Father to tell us who we truly are. Your true self is hidden in Christ. If you want to know who you are, you must look for Him.
This is a self-contained exposition of general relativity with emphasis given to tetrad and spinor structures and physical measurements on curved manifolds. General relativity is now essential to the understanding of modern physics, but the power of the theory cannot be fully explained without a detailed knowledge of its mathematical structure. The aim of this book is to introduce this structure, and then to use it to develop those applications that have been central to the growth of the theory. An overview of differential geometry is provided and properties of a tetrad field are then extensively analysed. These are used to introduce spinors, to describe the geometry of congruences and define the physical measurements on a curved manifold. The coupling of fields and geometry is investigated in terms of Lagrangeans and a detailed discussion of some exact solutions of the Einstein equations are provided.

Seminal resource on state-of-the-art flow diversion techniques from leading neurointerventional experts From detachable balloons and GDC coils to the recent advent of flow diversion, practitioners of endovascular neurosurgery have been fortunate to work in an era of rapid and exciting advances. The first commercially available flow diverter in the U.S. was approved specifically for a small subset of cerebral aneurysms. Recent experience has demonstrated its utility in treating challenging or otherwise untreatable aneurysms, safely and efficaciously. The design of these devices requires learning radically different methods than those used in the deployment of other, non-braided stents. Flow Diversion of Cerebral Aneurysms by Min Park, Philipp Taussky, Felipe Albuquerque, and Cameron McDougall provides step-by-step guidance on utilization of flow diversion technology in clinical practice. Reflecting the combined experience and knowledge of pioneers in neurointerventional surgery, this comprehensive book fills a gap in available resources. Twenty-one chapters cover fundamentals to advanced concepts – historical perspective to future developments. Key Features More than 100 high quality graphics and illustrative case studies reinforce key conceptsTechniques and nuances of Pipeline, Silk (Balt Extrusion), Surpass Streamline, and Flow-Redirection Endoluminal Device (FRED) deploymentAn overview of current flow diversion devices, discussion of coil embolization versus flow diversion, off-label uses, adjuvant approaches, and hemodynamic modificationsPharmacology, flow diversion grading scales, and post-procedure radiographic imagingClinical pearls on ruptured aneurysms, intraprocedural/postprocedural complications, and management of aneurysm residualsThe ultimate goal of incorporating cutting-edge flow diversion techniques into the aneurysm treatment paradigm is improved efficacy and patient outcome. The knowledge gleaned from this outstanding resource will help residents and fellows learn to deploy flow diverters for the first time and enable seasoned clinicians to expand their neurointerventional radiology skills.
