G. H. Hovagimyan is an absurdist, a strategist, a serial collaborator, and nothing short of a cultural icon in the world of contemporary art, particularly as it relates to how artists have adopted the digital technological tools of our times, adapting them in his work for critique of art, popular culture, and social engagement. Situationist Funhouse is a joyride through this history. The journey Stephen Zacks so meticulously documents and describes is not only an incredibly comprehensive ride through G. H.’s life work to date - Hovagimyan adopted G. H. as an acronym in the 1990s as a kind of gesture of personal rebirth and to ease others’ difficulty with his last name [pronounced ho-va-GIM-yan] - it also serves as a document that tracks a particular view on the alternative contemporary art scene of New York from the 1970s to the present day.

G. H. Hardy (1877–1947) ranks among the great mathematicians of the twentieth century. He did essential research in number theory and analysis, held professorships at Cambridge and Oxford, wrote important textbooks as well as the classic A Mathematician's Apology, and famously collaborated with J. E. Littlewood and Srinivasa Ramanujan. Hardy was a colorful character with remarkable expository skills. This book is a feast of G. H. Hardy's writing. There are selections of his mathematical papers, his book reviews, his tributes to departed colleagues. Some articles are serious, whereas others display a wry sense of humor. And there are recollections by those who knew Hardy, along with biographical and mathematical pieces written explicitly for this collection. Fans of Hardy should find much here to like. And for those unfamiliar with his work, The G. H. Hardy Reader provides an introduction to this extraordinary individual.

G nther Grass' Autobiographie Beim H uten Der Zwiebel

Hailed as the founder of modern science fiction, H. G. Wells (1866-1946) wrote a brilliant succession of novels and short stories that remain in the first rank of the genre. In fantasies made credible by their simple realism, his enduringly relevant tales gave symbolic expression to the ideas and anxieties of his era. This collection contains the best of H. G. Wells's science-fiction short stories: favorites like "The Crystal Egg," "Aepyornis Island," "The Strange Orchid," "The Man Who Could Work Miracles," "A Dream of Armageddon," "The Sea Raiders," and other tales about fourth-dimensional adventure, biological monstrosities, marvelous inventions, time distortions, cosmic catastrophe, and other intriguing events. In addition to these 17 short stories, this anthology features the novel The Invisible Man in its entirety. One of Wells's most popular stories, it offers both a serious study of egotism as well as a first-rate science-fiction thriller.

This book gives Christians and none-Christians an opportunity to realise that there is spiritual war against their lives by the enemy of their souls called Satan. The battle is called spiritual war, fought with spiritual weapons in the spiritual realm. The reason why it is called spiritual war is that it is fought in the spirit, the unseen spiritual world also called the supernatural world. The world we are born in, live in and die in, is not a safer place as we think. This book is an opportunity for Christians and non-Christians to change their thinking and a chance to change their lives forever about the problems they go through in their lives. This is a piece of good news indeed and now is the time for you to gain back your freedom through it. The book is also a wakeup call for people who have not experience Satanic attacks at present, yet they are most likely to experience one in the future, of which they must act now to avoid it. Majority of Christians and non-Christians alike lived in denial, that Satan does not exist, and only the small number of them acknowledged he exists, but they underestimate his power and his intention against their lives. The bible leaves no room for doubt that we are at war with Satan, it even refers to Christians as soldiers with weapons to fight the war. This war is being fought over your body, soul, spirit, vision and mission, family, finances, properties, businesses and so forth. Satan attacks the above-mentioned areas of your life through sickness, stress, suicide, anxiety, starvation, poverty, joblessness, wars, hatred, racism, greed, corruption, divorce, sexual immorality and so forth. Little is known about all these forms of human sufferings, yet people experienced them and lived with them. But I come to tell you in this book that all these attacks are from Satan, and they can be stopped, if you can stand up and fight for your freedom against Satan, through your God-given weapons. The book gives Christians an opportunity to use their spiritual weapons given to them by God to fight and win the war against their lives. These weapons of spiritual warfare are; the name and blood of Jesus Christ, prayer, faith, truth, salvation, fasting, peace, righteousness, and confession and repentance of sins. With these weapons in their hands, they are positioned to restore back what Satan has already stolen from them or what he may try to steal, kill, and destroy from them in the future.David Wel is a Church Warden, Secretary, Administrator, Teacher, Author, and the host of DW Spiritual Care International Online Discussion Program. He is the author of two books: Fighting the Invisible Enemy and Human Being as Tripartite; Body, Soul and Spirt. He is passionate to bring hope to hopeless people through the word of God. But there is even more to this as he lately discovered that God as our creator has a plan for us. We were created by God with great potentials within us and it is his determination to help you discover your God-given gift within you. For you to increase your productivity, he will help you unlock your potential within you by bringing resources, information, faith, knowledge, wisdom and understanding for you to live and enjoy the life you were born to live here on earth.
Bernard Shaw and H.G. Wells

Bernard Shaw and H.G. Wells

Bernard Shaw; H.G. Wells

Bernard Shaw and H.G. Wells are among the best-known and most controversial literary figures of the twentieth century. Both were rebelliously critical of the social and political, familial and sexual conventions and structures of their time. They shared broadly similar interests, but their lifestyles differed sharply - as did their views on many subjects, including those discussed in their correspondence: religion, socialism, science, war and world history, the theatre, the profession of authorship, and more. The letters are always forthright, often abusive and quarrelsome, sometimes suggesting that the relationship cannot last. They are also often warm, good-natured, playful, and generous - reflecting a fundamental mutual respect and similarity of outlook, however contrasting the temperament and style. The great majority of the two writers' correspondence is published here for the first time. This volumes comprises the personal correspondence of Shaw and Wells through the course of their friendship of more than forty years, and includes and introductory essay by J. Percy Smith. The letters are fully annotated, and are accompanied by information about the circumstances under which each was written, to enable the reader to follow the course of the frequently tempestuous relationship.

This unique contemporary account of Haig's GHQ gives a vivid insight into life in Montreuil-sur-Mer from 1916 onwards, and of the complexity of the planning the ultimate defeat of the German Army. The addition of the never generally published statistical summary of casualties, ammunition and supplies adds to the appreciation of Haig's achievement. "This remarkable book details what life was like in my Grandfather Haig's GHQ as the final defeat of the German Army was planned. Haig's farsightedness in promoting Education was a precursor of his dedication to the welfare of soldiers after the War. Its republication, together with statistics -never previously seen- are an index of the enormity of the task that he orchestrated." The Rt Hon Lord Astor of Hever Former Defence Minister. "Montreuil-sur-Mer was surprised to find itself at the heart of the British Army military machine between 1916 and 1919. Frank Fox's vivid contemporaneous account as a Staff Officer at GHQ describes the exceptional period during which this medieval town became the nerve centre of the Anglo-Saxon world."
