The St. Francois Xavier, Manitoba 1834-1900 Register has been alphabetically index. The parish was first established on the White Horse Plains by Mr. Cuthbert Grant, an employee of the Hudson Bay Company. Most of the early parishioners were M tis and relatives of Mr. Grant. The first chapel was Mr. Grant's home. In the Spring of 1833 the local population included 434 people.
