It is one thing to do social work research, but quite another to disseminate the results and ensure their effective utilization by practitioners out in the field working with clients. Just as important is ensuring that the research is relevant and usable by the social and health service community. Implementation research and translational research are designed to develop effective methods for narrowing the gap between research and practice. Using the National Institutes of Health Roadmap as a guide, this book fills a gap in social work writing by describing the challenges of investigating the process and outcomes of efforts to translate and implement evidence-based practices in social work. A general introduction discusses the history of such efforts and a picture of where we are now. Subsequent chapters offer in-depth examinations of the methods for studying the effectiveness, dissemination, and implementation of evidence-based practices; discuss the organizational context in which these activities occur in social work practice; investigate the use of mixed-method designs and community-based participatory methods to address these challenges; provide case studies of research on translation and implementation; identify potential barriers and offer recommendations and guidelines for addressing them. The resulting strategy is founded on the principle and practice of cultural exchange between members of social worker-led interdisciplinary research teams, and between researchers and practitioners. Because the Little Flamingo coloring book has been the most asked for, it is only natural that I would compile this Halu Collection first. With the character of the Little Flamingo, Halu, being my poster child for how to praise and worship, it seemed only fitting for him to be represented with a selection from The Psalms.I have tried to make the designs challenging but not exhaustive in their complexity. I hope those who are filling in between the lines find them interesting and inspiring. I have left the back of each page blank in order that a variety of mediums could be used while not bleeding through to the front side. It is my hope that you enjoy bringing life to these illustrations. I welcome input through my web page and through the on-line sales channels. Hauk og due er en roman om svik, vennskap og klassereisen vekk fra det borgerlige, i et Oslo ved inngangen til 1990-tallet. En sensommerdag i 1985 skjer det en ulykke som skal kaste lange skygger inn i Lars og Hauks tidlige voksenliv. Kort tid etter forsvinner Hauk fra skolemiljøet. Det samme gjør etter hvert de to andre vennene i barndomsgjengen fra Gulleråsen. Først syv år senere møter Lars dem tilfeldigvis igjen i et bokollektiv på Frogner, på et stadium i livet der han fører en behagelig tilværelse som kjekk og vellykket jusstudent. Gradvis blir han nødt til å erkjenne hva som faktisk foregikk i tiden etter ulykken, og hvordan det har formet ham som menneske. Henrik H. Langeland (f. 1972) fikk sitt gjennombrudd som forfatter med romanen Wonderboy i 2003. Siden har han blant annet utgitt romanene Francis Meyers lidenskap (2007), Verdensmestrene (2010) og sakprosaboken Fortellekunst (2011). Han har tre barn og bor i Oslo.
