Library outreach can be tough: There’s no standard definition of outreach among libraries, and what it consists of differs from institution to institution. Some libraries focus on marketing and advertising services, while others concentrate on relationship building with their constituents. Some focus on fun events to coax people into their facility. The cases in The Library Outreach Casebook provide creative and reproducible formats, ideas, and inspirations, from engaging social media to hosting performances to creating exhibits. Expert chapter authors take you from the beginning steps—determining which tools and resources you need for your outreach efforts—all the way through implementation of a variety of outreach initiatives, and every step in-between.Divided into three sections—Starting Strategies, Programing and Event Planning, and Outreach to Select Populations—this casebook is designed for librarians working in all types of libraries to use as a tool to start or further their current outreach efforts. The Library Outreach Casebook provides readers with many different approaches, formats, and solutions that lead to successful outreach.

""Star Habits And Orbits: Astronomy For Theosophical Students"" is a comprehensive guide to the study of astronomy, written by L. Gordon Plummer. The book explores the habits and orbits of stars, providing a detailed understanding of the celestial objects that make up our universe. It is specifically designed for students of Theosophy, a spiritual movement that seeks to understand the nature of the universe and humanity's place within it. The book begins by introducing readers to the basic principles of astronomy, including the movements of the planets, stars, and other celestial bodies. It then delves into more advanced topics, such as the structure of galaxies and the nature of dark matter. Throughout the text, Plummer provides clear explanations and illustrations to help readers understand complex concepts. In addition to its scientific content, ""Star Habits And Orbits"" also explores the philosophical and spiritual implications of astronomy. Plummer draws on the teachings of Theosophy to explore the connections between the universe and human consciousness, and to examine the role of humanity in the grand scheme of things.Overall, ""Star Habits And Orbits"" is an informative and thought-provoking book that will appeal to anyone with an interest in astronomy, Theosophy, or the intersection of science and spirituality. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. This collection features four peer-reviewed reviews on phosphorus uptake and use in crops. The first chapter summarises the progress in research on root traits associated with phosphorus acquisition, including root morphology, architecture, biochemistry, colonisation by arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi, and fine root endophytes. The chapter also reviews the recent advances in breeding programmes to improve phosphorus acquisition efficiency. The second chapter discusses interactions between phosphorus management (phosphorus rate, source timing, and placement) and diverse cropping systems and climate and how these interactions are essential to efficient utilization of phosphorus resources. The third chapter assesses the key soil, root and microbial processes that influence phosphorus acquisition with a focus on factors that can be managed to ensure optimal use of fertiliser and development of root systems for improved phosphorus acquisition. A case study from Australia is used to demonstrate how phosphorus efficiency of grasslands can be improved. The final chapter reviews the environmental effects of phosphorus fertilisation in agriculture, primarily its impact on water quality. The chapter considers how future water quality issues can be mitigated and also examines the cycling, fate and transport of phosphorus in agriculture.

J L Moreno, the founder of sociodrama and sociometry, is best known for the impact he had on group psychotherapy, out of which he created psychodrama. This is now one of the most important and popular of the `creative' therapies, practised throughout the world. The concept of `role' was central to Moreno's theory and throughout his life he played many himself. A Paul Hare and June Rabson Hare describe a man who was, among other things, a psychiatrist, dramatist, theologian, inventor and educator, who made significant contributions in all of these areas in addition to being a major influence on social science and group psychotherapy. Moreno's theoretical and practical contributions to therapy also cover a broad spectrum. This fascinating book draws together and clarifies the most important of the concepts and applications of Moreno's work, presenting and successfully rebutting the criticism some of his theories have attracted.
