Fattigdom utan gränser är den första bok som tar ett helhetsgrepp om fattigdomsfrågan. Boken är en betraktelse av fattigdomens historia, nutid och framtid där forskarens och journalistens olika perspektiv sammanfogas i ett vidare synfält. Boken bygger på ett temanummer i tidskriften Socionomen som utkom med anledning av EU:s fattigdomsår 2010. Med nytt innehåll behandlar redaktörerna i denna bok fattigdomsfrågan ur ett vidare perspektiv. De allra flesta bidragen är skrivna av nordiska forskare och bygger på aktuella forskningsresultat. Ett mål med boken har varit att vidga blickfånget och överskrida traditionella gränser. Dels mellan olika vetenskapliga discipliner men även mellan vetenskap, journalistik, litteratur, konst och foto. Vi hör också Joakim Palme, professor i statsvetenskap vid Uppsala universitet, i ett avslutande ord.
