L''approche quasi manuelle de l''annotateur n''est toutefois pas applicable a l''ensemble des genomes eucaryotes, et nous avons donc cherche a developper une methode automatique qui suive le meme processus que l''expert humain. Pour ce faire, Exogean utilise des multi-graphes orientes acycliques colores (DACMs) ou les sommets sont des objets biologiques (exons, transcrits), et les multiples couleurs d''aretes entre les sommets sont des relations entre ces objets, derivees de l''expertise humaine. Les DACMs sont parcourus suivant des chemins qui repliquent les regles suivies par l''expert humain lorsqu''il analyse les donnees.
