The Ancient Hebrew marriage custom, like all other Hebrew customs, were introduced by the Eternal as the true story played out over the centuries, year by year, to illustrate to common man the plan of salvation for the people of this planet. Paul told us in 2 Corinthians 10:11 that all the things Israel experienced was an example to us and for our admonition. In this study, we will use the ancient Hebrew wedding custom as a template and to it we will overlay this tradition with the plan of salvation. We will show how the Almighty played out this series of events using the Nation of the Children of Israel as an example of his bride. He demonstrates how his people, the bride, is to honor the covenant agreement with Him.
