En morgon, i tidig timma, vaknade jag av en dröm. Eller kanske var det en tanke. This book treats modeling and simulation in a simple way, that builds on the existing knowledge and intuition of students. They will learn how to build a model and solve it using Excel.Most chemical engineering students feel a shiver down the spine when they see a set of complex mathematical equations generated from the modeling of a chemical engineering system. This is because they usually do not understand how to achieve this mathematical model, or they do not know how to solve the equations system without spending a lot of time and effort.Trying to understand how to generate a set of mathematical equations to represent a physical system (to model) and solve these equations (to simulate) is not a simple task. A model, most of the time, takes into account all phenomena studied during a Chemical Engineering course. In the same way, there is a multitude of numerical methods that can be used to solve the same set of equations generated from the modeling, and many different computational languages can be adopted to implement the numerical methods. As a consequence of this comprehensiveness and combinatorial explosion of possibilities, most books that deal with this subject are very extensive and embracing, making need for a lot of time and effort to go through this subject. It is expected that with this book the chemical engineering student and the future chemical engineer feel motivated to solve different practical problems involving chemical processes, knowing they can do that in an easy and fast way, with no need of expensive software.

Nesta pesquisa investigou-se a import ncia atribu da gest o dos Recursos Humanos pelos executivos das empresas prestadoras de servi os de centrais de chamadas. Foi considerado que o papel da rea de Recursos Humanos pode ser muito mais desafiador neste setor do que em uma ind stria medida que pretenda mostrar seu valor para o desenvolvimento do neg cio. Mas esta s pode ter sucesso se os dirigentes das empresas estiverem altamente comprometidos com as atividades de RH. A pesquisa compreendeu duas etapas: investiga o sobre a gest o de recursos humanos num contexto geral e outra especificamente sobre a atividade de call center. Na primeira etapa foi realizado um estudo de literaturas sobre o papel do profissional de RH, Planejamento Estrat gico do RH e a Gest o de RH em ambiente competitivo. Na Segunda etapa foram entrevistados alguns executivos de empresas de call center e investigou-se o funcionamento do setor de call center visitando empresas para conhecer a atividade de perto. Ao final da pesquisa foi obtido um retrato da vis o dos executivos em rela o aos cuidados com a gest o das pessoas e com as tecnologias.

A Did tica tem um papel fundamental na forma o dos professores. De acordo com estudos precedentes, Lib neo (2010), Longarezi e Puentes (2010) e Sguarezzi (2010), a Did tica est vivenciando um esvaziamento em seu campo te rico-cient fico. Este estudo tem como objetivo geral analisar o estado das pesquisas e da produ o intelectual na rea da Did tica, no per odo de 2004 a 2010, em tr s Programas de P s-gradua o em Educa o na regi o Sul do Brasil. Para sua realiza o, optamos pela abordagem quanti-qualitativa e utilizamos a metodologia do estudo de casos m ltiplos. Fizemos a an lise interpretativa das fichas da CAPES, utilizadas na avalia o dos tr s Programas e dos curr culos Lattes de seus docentes. Como fonte de pesquisa, foram utilizados os sites dos Programas e no curr culo Lattes, coletamos informa es sobre os projetos de pesquisa em que os professores est o inseridos e sobre sua produ o intelectual. Constru mos uma base de dados para o projeto, em n vel nacional, com a denomina o de cada Programa, suas linhas de pesquisa em Did tica, seus projetos, seus professores respons veis e suas publica es.

El proyecto pretende realizar un estudio de prefactibilidad y el predise o para que en un futuro no lejano, se logre la implementaci n de una planta para el manejo de residuos el ctricos y electr nicos, (RAEE's), que beneficie a los departamentos de Cauca, Caquet , Huila, Nari o y Putumayo; y que contribuya significativamente con la reducci n de la contaminaci n ambiental generada por este tipo de residuos en esta regi n.La implementaci n se plantea como la puesta de en marcha de cuatro centros de acopio en las capitales de los departamentos de Cauca, Caquet , Nari o y Putumayo y una planta de manejo y procesamiento en la capital del departamento del Huila. Esto permitir a realizar la recolecci n de materiales tecnol gicos desechados por las empresas, entidades p blicas y comunidad en general y ser trasladados a la planta de procesamiento donde se lograr la extracci n de algunos de sus compuestos que servir n como materia prima para nuevos productos.
Seit sieben Jahren entwickle ich mit den Studenten des Studiengangs Licenciatura em Pedagogia der Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais - Ituiutaba Unit - ein Erweiterungsprojekt und mehrere Forschungsprojekte im Bereich des kindlichen Spielens und speziell zum Spielzeugzimmer. Wir sind der Meinung, dass Spielen... eine ernste Sache ist Deshalb muss die Grundausbildung in P dagogik qualifizierte Fachleute ausbilden, die ber das notwendige Wissen verf gen, um im Rahmen der verschiedenen Arten von Brinquedoteca zu agieren, denn die Kinder, die diesen Raum frequentieren, m ssen zur Spielfreude, Kreativit t und Fantasie angeregt werden. Es gibt mehrere Forschungs- und Erweiterungsprojekte, die von F rderorganisationen (FAPEMIG, PAPqe PAEx) genehmigt wurden und die Bedeutung des Spielens f r die ganzheitliche Entwicklung des Kindes diskutieren. In den letzten zwei Jahren erhielten wir Auszeichnungen aufgrund der Klassifizierungsergebnisse in wettbewerbsorientierten Ausschreibungen. So haben wir in diesem Buch die Ergebnisse einiger Forschungen im Bereich des Krankenhausspielzimmers, des Schulspielzimmers und des Universit tsspielzimmers zusammengestellt.
For seven years I have been developing an extension project and several research projects in the field of children's playfulness, and specifically about the Toy Room with the undergraduate students of the Licenciatura em Pedagogia course of the Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais - Ituiutaba Unit. We consider that playing... is a serious thing Therefore, the initial formation in Pedagogy must form qualified professionals, with the necessary knowledge to act in the scope of the several types of Brinquedoteca, because the children who frequent this space must be stimulated the ludicity, the creativity, the imagination. There are several research and extension projects approved in funding agencies (FAPEMIG, PAPqe PAEx) that we discuss the importance of playing for the holistic development of the child. In the last two years, we received awards due to the classification score in competitive calls. Thus, we gathered in this book, articles results of some researches in the field of Hospital Playroom, School Playroom and University Playroom.
