It is crucial to understand and review how institutions, as well as individuals and collaborative groups, have worked together to expand institutional culture and practice in a process of cross-institutional expansive learning. A Cultural Historical Approach to Social Displacement and University-Community Engagement: Emerging Research and Opportunities focuses on university-community collaborative engagement as a strategic response to widespread social displacement and its implications for the educational and social development of underserved young people from displaced communities. The 1891 census was the first to collect information about the language spoken by the people of Wales, and is therefore a particularly reliable source for historians analyzing the socio-economic structure of Weslh- and English-language ability and the process of language change in Wales at the end of the 19th century. This study concentrates on 20 communities, chosen for their geographical, economic and linguistic characteristics which in 1891, accounted for about 5 per cent of the total population of Wales. For each of the selected areas, a detailed picture of the socio-economic pattern of language use has been constructed by examining a range of social variables, such as age, sex, relation to head of household, place of birth and occupation, in relation to the language spoken. Intergenerational language shift, the linguistic influence of extra-family members, and the effects of mixed marriages on language change are investigated, and particular consideration is given to migration streams and the presence of incoming strangers and returning kin.

Dabei stehen besonders die pr ventiven Ma nahmen von Politikfeldern im Vordergrund. Dieses Thema verdient besonderes Augenmerk, da die Auswirkungen von Kinderarmut im Bereich der Gesundheit und der Kindesmisshandlungstendenz verheerend sind. Das Ziel dieser Hausarbeit ist aufzuzeigen, welche Politikfelder Ans tze konzeptioniert haben, um Kinderarmut pr ventiv entgegen zu wirken. In dieser Hausarbeit werden zu Beginn die Theoretischen und begrifflichen Grundlagen erl utert, auf die sich die Hausarbeit beziehen wird. Im n chsten Kapitel werden die unterschiedlichen Gegenstrategien gegen Kinderarmut beschrieben. Diese Gegenstrategien wurden von den politischen Ebenen der Bildungspolitik, der Sozialpolitik, der Familienpolitik und der Arbeits- und Wirtschaftspolitik konzeptioniert und weitestgehend umgesetzt. Zu Beginn werden in diesem Kapitel die pr ventiven Ma nahmen der Bildungspolitik aufgezeigt, in der der Schwerpunkt auf dem Ausbau der ffentlichen Kinderbetreuung liegt. Als n chstes werden die kommunale Sozialpolitik und die Pflichtversicherung in der Sozialpolitik erl utert. Des Weiteren werden im Punkt der familienpolitischen Gegenstrategien das Starke- Familien- Gesetz erl utert. In dem Unterkapitel der Arbeits- und Wirtschaftspolitik wird aufgezeigt, wie die Kinderarmut anhand eines Verbots bezahlter berstunden und verschiedener Instrumente f r den Ausgleich von Angebot und Nachfrage auf dem Arbeitsmarkt verringert werden kann. Im letzten Kapitel gibt es eine Zusammenfassung und ein Fazit zu den bereits bestehenden Gegenstrategien.

Erinnerungsorte zeigen unter anderem reale oder auch rekonstruierte Lebensumst nde zu Zeiten der SBZ und DDR. Es gibt unz hlige, nicht nur in politischer Hinsicht bedeutende St tten: "Betriebe, Kulturh user, Schulen, sowie ehemalige Mahn- und Gedenkst tten."1 Aleida Assmann betont die notwendige Verbindung zwischen kulturellen Erinnerungstechniken und historischen Orten: Ein Ort ...] h lt Erinnerungen nur dann fest, wenn Menschen auch Sorge daf r tragen. Es zeigt die Problematik, dass es Initiatoren ben tigt, die das kollektive Ged chtnis salonf hig machen, um es in die Gesellschaft zu etablieren. Wichtig hierbei ist ebenso, die gegenst ndlichen und m ndlichen Hinterlassenschaften in die Bildungsarbeit einzubinden. Erinnerungsorte m ssen Raum bieten f r die Auseinandersetzung mit dem SED-Regime f r alle Bev lkerungsschichten und Altersgruppen um ein gezieltes Erinnern m glich zu machen und langfristig zu sichern. Erinnerungsorte sind keine Erfindungen unsere heutigen Zeit, aber die heutigen M glichkeiten der Forschungsarbeit und vor allem dem Medienangebot geben den Einrichtungen einen pr senten Raum. Vielen Menschen ist die Anzahl der Erinnerungsorte unbekannt, sie kennen von den ca. 200 Gedenkst tten und Zeichen nur einen Bruchteil, doch mit der ffentlichkeitsarbeit werden auch nach und nach Einrichtungen bekannt, die sich noch im Schatten ffentlicher Aufmerksamkeit befinden. Den Zugang zu den Menschen zu finden und deren Interesse zu wecken ist wohl die schwierigste Aufgabe. Dabei spielen zweierl
