This book provides a case-based illustrative approach to the understanding and management of common and important sleep disorders, including snoring and sleep disordered breathing, insomnia and circadian-rhythm disorders, as well as primary neurological sleep disorders. Case histories are written by well-established experts from University College London Hospitals who have long-standing experience of providing a multi-disciplinary approach to the management of sleep disorders. Cases focus on the recognition of presenting features of sleep disorders and their clinical importance, using real life patients from sleep clinic. Each case report provides a detailed clinical description followed by a clear explanation of the salient points. The text is supported by photographs, diagrams and line drawing and concludes with a list of key learning points. Each case history reads as stand-alone, although a common theme of presenting features, clinical features, investigation and treatment is adhered to. Cases are written in an easy-flowing prose style in an attempt to simulate the experience of seeing and discussing a real life patient case in clinical practice. The book is of interest to all clinicians who are likely to come across patients with sleep disorders in their clinical practice and wish to improve their understanding and knowledge of sleep disorders.

"This is one of those books you keep in your collection, and turn to once again 20 years later and say, "Wow, he was right " This is written by an author who once again becomes worthy of the title expert. He breaks down the technology perfectly and in reality, effortlessly. A student of the Autonomous Vehicle industry, this book, as always, delivers" -- R. Katzman, CFO Roy Foss Professor, Automotive StudiesCome along with me on this exciting journey as we uncover the future world of autonomous vehicle liability and the legal tools we might use to bring justice and balance to this future industry. In the world of medical care, statistical advantage is everything, with apt diagnoses offering each patient the chance to realize on a better outcome with respect to their survival or recovery. Accordingly, in applying autonomous technology and tools, the emerging industry of autonomous vehicles looks to bolster this statistical advantage, thereby revolutionizing the transportation world. However, in light of the many challenges and variables imposed at each level of automation, many have argued new methods are needed in addressing Autonomous Vehicle liability. This text seeks to assess the utility of the loss of chance doctrine, and the Walker Approach, in resolving future cases of liability.

Who Benefits from the Sanitized Language of Violence?
Language is not neutral; it determines, and is determined, by perspective. This volume explores the role of an influential vocabulary of war, sanitised language, the language that seeks to clean up the appearance of events through euphemism, abstract words and opaque phrases. Critical discourse analysis of the language of recent military campaigns shows that the public authorities do not explain events as clearly as they might. Despite social, political and strategic incentives to use sanitised language, its use appears to undermine the democratic process and reduce public authorities’ freedoms, possibly emboldening adversaries and turning away potential partners.

There is no such thing as the wrong step; every time we walk we are going somewhere. Moving around the modern city becomes more than from getting from A to B, but a way of understanding who and where you are. In a series of riveting intellectual rambles, Matthew Beaumont, retraces a history of the walker. From Charles Dicken's insomniac night rambles to wandering through the faceless, windswept monuments of the neoliberal city, the act of walking is one of escape, self-discovery, disappearances and potential revolution. Pacing stride for stride alongside such literary amblers and thinkers as Edgar Allen Poe, Andrew Breton, H G Wells, Virginia Woolf, Jean Rhys and Ray Bradbury, Matthew Beaumont explores the relationship between the metropolis and its pedestrian life. He asks can you get lost in a crowd? It is polite to stare at people walking past on the street? What differentiates the city of daylight and the nocturnal metropolis? What connects walking, philosophy and the big toe? Can we save the city - or ourselves - by taking the pavement?

NOTE: QPG Publications represent truth; and therefore are highly controversial. Should any book seller claim shipping time in excess of several days--probably be best to find another book seller.]"When (Donald) Trump announced his intentions to run for president, many of the "experts" simply laughed. As the result of being so certain that this "carnival barker" (the words of others), was merely seeking yet more publicity, his "intentions" were simply and summarily dismissed by the "experts." Early on, Karl Rove was asked about the Trump candidacy and Rove's response was "Ignore him." Ed Rollins commented early on that Trump was "not a viable candidate.""Yet he "miraculously" became the front runner and remains so. No matter which aspect of his candidacy is examined; he seems to have broken, and continues to break essentially all of the known rules of politics. Is there any rational explanation for this phenomenon? Does the Bible provide any guidance as to how this could be?The process is not new, and not unique to Donald Trump. It is just that it has been long forgotten. Find the explanation; understand the mechanisms; and see if the process can work for you.
