"Teaching money management in a fun and interesting way is a tall order. On the whole, most teachers do not feel they have the skills, knowledge or resources to tackle personal finance education. Can Will Jones help? Context, narrative and purpose are three essential ingredients to feed dialogue and discussion, and the Will Jones resources for primary schools mix all three in a dynamic way. Children join Will and Ben on a rich adventure set on the wealthy planet of Ozimoth, where they can find out more about how to manage money, and realise the importance of a money system, using a fictitious currency called Rupins. The story and play aim to get children thinking more carefully about what to do with their money and the life choices they can make. The charming narrative is well written: the story would work well as a class reader and the play could be staged as an assembly. The Rupins concept is a great place to start and children will enjoy the adventure..." Source extracted: TES Times Education Supplement No 4714 8 December 2006 International Accreditation.

The book is an in-depth review of the theory and empirics of the demand for money and other financial assets. The different theoretical approaches to the portfolio choice problem are described, together with an up-to-date survey of the results obtained from empirical studies of asset choice behaviour. Both single-equation studies and the more complete multi-asset portfolio models, are analysed.

39 Steps and 39 Days to Debt Recovery a Concept and a System for Managing Your Money
From the Author: Some of us find we are in debt and wonder, then ask the question, "how on earth did I get into such a mess?" Debt does have a way of creeping up on us if we lose sight of what we are doing and where we intend to go. We might decide to renovate our home and find any number of hidden problems that invariably cost us money - usually more than the money we had put into a budget to cover the initial renovations. It's very rarely that projects come in under budget; on rare occasions, we may manage to work the equation out. Businesses often have more in outgoing expenses than in incoming sales. This situation usually leads to accelerating rising debt. At the beginning of projects or ventures, we often start out with very good intentions and then find the initial idea, though of value and worth, may end up costing us more than we had forecast in the business plan or budget. There are many scenarios, not to mention overspending, that can lead us into spiralling, mounting debt. If it's receivership1, insolvency2, voluntary administration3 or bankruptcy4 and is part of the financial crisis you are experiencing. In these times, your mind needs to be bigger than the situation you are facing; this awareness will make you stronger. Don't hang on to the past, you may lose material goods and they can be replaced. You may not venture into the same business again, but if you have determination, while taking on the challenge, in time, you will find another way of developing and maintaining your wellbeing and financial wellbeing. Through a financial recession in Australia, I lost all of the material goods that I had worked hard to build over a thirty-year period. Despite my continued hard work to financially survive, I knew the inevitable was going to happen - financial demise and the necessity to start re-building my financial and emotional life from scratch. Through the recession, I lost my home and the means, I had, at that time, for earning my living, my business. I looked at the situation, though I was heartbroken, in the cold light of day, I realised, these are only material possessions and I can start again. I'm not saying it's easy, it's not, but it can be done. I kept my words and my thoughts silent and by doing this I gained the inner strength I needed to get through the situation. I did not think, at the time of the recession, that I would be sitting at my computer many years later writing books for my online bookstore business that has a financial value. You may find that I revert back to the beginning of my journey or to a different time in the journey as you read through the text. To write just one book can take many years but this is all part of the journey. Please take inspiration from the words. It has not always been easy but the learning from the experiences cannot be bought. Nor did I have the vision that my writings, which I started at the time of the recession in 1999, my computer would become the tool that I would use in developing my businesses of writing 'how to' books which are now part of Books For Reading On Line. Com. When older people lose their income and their wealth that is a very sad state of affairs, but with reading my book and working a system, they too, can become self-sustainable and independent again. You see, it's your determination and the commitment you have to your goals that makes the difference. Yes, when I have had the determination to keep going, though there were little to no results from my efforts, I did not let anybody steal my dream. There are many people who may think you are mad or sneer at your efforts, this I too have experienced, but I just kept the determination to my writing going.
