This personal, creative, critical work from a leading scholar of psychology is rooted in three novel concepts and aims to share critical pedagogy in the spirit of nascent potential found in the context of a colonial Puerto Rico. First comes the idea of ‘pedagogy in (e)motion’, or the emotional matrix of the teaching and learning process. Secondly, the author explores the notion of ‘street pedagogy’ as a genuine and powerful professional tool. And thirdly, the book underscores what Zambrana-Ortiz calls ‘the interconnection of the artscience within the political and biographical act of teaching’.The purpose is to inform education teaching practice with the radical framework that, like the neurosciences, believes emotions to be a vital precursor to the planning of action, the process of decision-making and the broadening of our cognitive parameters. The chapters focus on different and yet complementary dimensions of a college teaching initiative boasting a unique interplay between a transgressive narrative, reinvented methodology and authentic samples of students’ contributions to the project. Traditionally, emotional and visceral experiences have been downplayed and rejected as fundamental components of knowledge. This book makes the case for their reinstatement, and proposes that the pleasure and commitment of teaching itself can be seen as resistance given the challenging social and political context, the bureaucracy of the Puerto Rican higher education system, and the cynicism of the self-confessed cognoscenti who think that little political progress can come from within the university system. Questo libro il risultato dei miei sforzi per restaurare, preservare e conservare la rara collezione di manoscritti dell'Accademia di Arte Cultura e Lingue del J&K dopo le devastanti inondazioni del settembre 2014 che hanno sommerso molte parti della Valle del Kashmir. Durante le alluvioni del settembre 2014, un numero considerevole di manoscritti dell'Accademia culturale del J&K stato danneggiato dalle acque inondate. Per il restauro e la conservazione di questi manoscritti danneggiati dall'alluvione, sono stato inviato per un periodo di due mesi al NRLC (National Research Laboratory for Conservation of Cultural Property) di Lucknow, dove ho avuto l'opportunit di lavorare con il personale tecnico del NRLC, dotato di eccezionali competenze nel campo della conservazione e della tutela. Durante questo periodo, ho trovato molto interessante il campo della conservazione di manoscritti e altri materiali d'archivio e improvvisamente il mio interesse per l'argomento si sviluppato in modo molto profondo. Ho iniziato a documentarmi sulla conservazione dei beni archivistici attraverso varie fonti online, soprattutto tutorial online di esperti del settore.

YKL-40: una proteina della famiglia delle chitinasi nota per essere associata all'infiammazione. Il ruolo dei polimorfismi a singolo nucleotide nel gene CHI3L1 sulla suscettibilit all'asma e sui livelli di YKL-40 stato ampiamente studiato su diversi gruppi etnici, ottenendo risultati contraddittori sull'allele di suscettibilit . Nel presente lavoro sono state utilizzate la tecnologia di risonanza plasmonica di superficie e metodi basati sulla reazione a catena della polimerasi per la stima dei livelli proteici e la genotipizzazione. I nostri risultati suggeriscono fortemente un'associazione tra i livelli di YKL-40 e la gravit dell'asma e una probabile associazione tra il genotipo CG nella regione promotrice rs4950928 del gene CHI3L1 e livelli elevati di YKL-40 e suscettibilit all'asma.

La soia una pianta originaria della Cina, appartenente alla famiglia delle Fabaceae, sottofamiglia Faboideae, genere Glycine e specie Glycine max (L.) Merrill, considerata una delle colture pi antiche del mondo. La soia la principale coltura coltivata in Brasile (FERREIRA et al., 2020).In Brasile, la coltivazione della soia stata introdotta nel 1882. Nel 1914 stata introdotta nello Stato di Rio Grande do Sul, grazie alle condizioni climatiche favorevoli, in particolare il fotoperiodo. L'attuazione di programmi di selezione genetica della soia ha reso possibile l'avanzamento della coltura in regioni a basse latitudini (FERREIRA, 2017).
