In the years following a heinous war of nuclear ferocity, the world simmers down in its quest for repose via an increased attempt at gaining scientific knowledge. Technological breakthroughs are numerous; QEM (Quark Electromagnetic Movement) is discovered along with 'nuclei fuel'. Millions upon untold millions of people, of all nationalities, break free of the Earth's gravitation, and travel both legally and illegally to other far-away worlds. Such a move is conducted through QEM-gate, a permanently laid path of flight between two systems. Man travels to the new but far-away systems and commences his colonisation of the varied worlds encountered; it is then that catastrophe hits. 'Parsec mutation' takes hold on the invading species, and man falls under a variety of changes. 'QEM migration' is suddenly forbidden and the worlds already colonised come under change; each world gives freely to the meaning of evolution. Hundreds of years later 'parsec mutation' is finally controlled and the worlds hidden behind several hundred years of banned QEM-gate travel are brought into view. This is the story of the unstable peace that exists within these New Worlds. Many hostilities are met with as the galaxy casts its net against war-provoking actions, by gaming war itself and battling with the very existence of all threatening foe. The Scrolls of Pre-history on Earth are what binds peace. The monks however do not understand these texts as they exist, but set themselves on the road of commitment, for the completion of their deciphering. In Quadrant Three is the Mildratawa, a peace loving council that confides all matters to the representatives of other worlds and Quadrants. Without the Mildratawa peace could never exist. Set in the year 2393, the Mildratawa is to the galaxy what the UN is to the Earth, as we knew it in the late 20th century.

This is an epic poem. The orca: they are black and white dolphins, mammals of the sea, warm-blooded creatureswhich are at the top of the food chain for the territory that they hold within their power, manbeing their only predator.Tom is born in the Pacific Ocean, 1862; he is 2.5 metres long and weighs 200kg; a grandspecimen. George Davidson is born of Eden; May, 1863.This is the story of Tom, Killer whale of Twofold Bay, Eden, friend to George Davidson (baywhaler) and others like him: it is based upon a true story that will live in the memory of thecitizens of Eden for eternity, a museum being built in Tom's honour upon his death. For thousands of years, before man recorded such events, killer whales hunted all manner ofbaleen whale in every ocean on this planet, and only once in all that time has it beenwitnessed, and recorded for the prosperity of understanding and knowledge, that they cooperatedwith humans in their hunt for whales. It all took place on the east coast of Australia, Twofold Bay, Eden. And it is here that an extraordinary story unfolds of an unwrittencontract between man and beast, one of nature's most powerful and intelligent, one that ismisunderstood and labelled unkindly.

This is part two of The Templar series, part one being 'The Templar: And the City of God'. In part two the adventure continues. Just yesterday, Stephen was fighting to defend The City of God against the Muslim invaders; now, in the pursuing days, where living is as fierce by night, as it is by day, he must fight to preserve that, which he does not fully understand. From the novel, The Templar: and the City of God, comes the second novel of the continued journey of Stephen. Will he be delivered salvation? Will he secure a fuller understanding of his place in life? His first step of many is to provide aid to others, but over the coming days he must make decisions that will affect the future of mankind, not just the souls he has laid pledge to protect. The very religion that he holds so dear to his heart will be questioned, as too will the motives behind his decisions. K ros holds the key, the key to everlasting life, the key to the rules of life, and life's meaning. It is for him to decide what will become of his future, and of the Christian religion. At all costs, he must preserve that which he has been passed onto him; the secret of the chest; and above all, the key must always be protected and never surrendered.

THE SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLERNIGEL - One of Britain's favourite dogs! MONTY DON - One of Britain's favourite presenters. When Monty Don's golden retriever Nigel became the surprise star of BBC Gardeners' World inspiring huge interest, fan mail and his own social media accounts, Monty Don wanted to explore what makes us connect with animals quite so deeply. In many respects Nigel is a very ordinary dog; charming, handsome and obedient, as so many are. He is a much loved family pet. He is also a star. By telling Nigel's story, Monty relates his relationships with the other special dogs in his life in a memoir of his dogs past and very much present. Witty, touching and life-affirming, Nigel: My family and other dogs is wonderfully heart-warming. Monty Don is a great writer coming out of the garden and into the hearts and homes of every dog lover in the UK.'I have always had a dog, or dogs. I cannot imagine life without them. I am just as much a fan of Nigel as any besotted viewer. In the book I explore why we love dogs and what they mean to us emotionally and domestically. I look back on all the dogs in my life - all of which I have loved deeply and which have been an essential part of my life. So, this is the book of Nigel - but also the book of all our dogs in every British family and a celebration of the deep love we feel for them' Monty Don

Nigel of Longchamp, Speculum Stultorum

An edition and English translation of the Speculum Stultorum (The Mirror for Fools), a long Latin beast epic written near the end of the twelfth century by a monk of Christ Church, Canterbury. This was one of the most popular works of the Middle Ages, a favourite of Chaucer, Gower, and Henryson, and was copied for over three centuries, with a circulation extending as far as eastern Europe. It is not only a milestone in the history of medieval beast epic, but a rich source of information about contemporary life and events at Canterbury. The work is dedicated to William Longchamp, who was Richard I's chancellor, and the significance of this fact is shown. This is a highly entertaining narrative about a donkey who longs to have a longer tail and journeys to Salerno to buy some (imaginary) medicines which will provide it. When his medicines are destroyed in an accident, he decides to become learned instead, and goes off to study at the university of Paris for seven years, but can still say only 'heehaw'. Interwoven into this simple narrative are other stories and long rhetorical set-pieces which satirise the distorted values of contemporary religious life or the corruption of the papal curia, and describe the qualities of an ideal bishop (which the donkey hopes to become).
