Malmös mesta rockband heter sedan våren 1978 Wilmer X (om vi bortser från det faktum att de faktiskt startade sin karriär som Wilmer Pitt).Under sommaren 2018 har vi sett dem återförenas för sin tusende spelning – vilket ägde rum inför 35 000 jublande rockfans på Sweden Rock den 9 juli – och på många andra festivaler runtom i landet.En nostalgitripp? Glöm det. Nisse Hellberg, Jalle Lorensson, Thomas Holst, Sticky Bomb och Janne Lindén visade under sin succéartade comebackturné att Wilmer X låter vitalare, mopsigare och tätare än någonsin.Som en hyllning till ett av Sveriges genom tiderna bästa och mest konsekventa kompromisslösa rockband dokumenteras nu Wilmer X 40 år på vägar, klubbar, festivaler och toppen av försäljningslistorna i boken ”Wilmer X – 40 år av blues, svett och tårar” av fotografen Anders Roos och författaren/musikjournalisten Sven Lindström.Boken är en underhållande tripp genom bandets hela karriär med intervjuer av samtliga bandmedlemmar, generöst illustrerade med en lång rad hittills opublicerade bilder, textdokument och dagboksanteckningar. Denna boxen är en utökad upplaga på 316 sidor och signerad av av hela bandet och indididuellt numererad till x/500. med denna versionen av boken får man även en Live DVD från spelningen på Malmö Festivalen 2018 och en exklusivt numererad fotoprint.
