Performance artist Anna Magdalena splays her audience open and leaves them begging for more. More life. More freedom. More imagination. By redefining family, history, myth, time and identity, she prompts readers to take action and forge a life of extraordinary beauty. Anna Magdalena is a contemporary novel about the power of art, love and imagination in its many forms. Reade Bordeaux, a forty-year-old Seattle plumber, married to Sgt. Becky Smith, is smitten with Anna Magdalena, a New York City performance artist retreated to Willapa, a forgotten Victorian town on the Washington coast. With a snap of her fingers, they land in the New York art world with her acquired family: Saxton, her ex-lover; Lulu, his mother; and Lulu's partner, Kermit Fleur, an old master dealer who takes Reade under his wing. Honey Dearborn and her son Frank, Reade's prickly neighbor in Willapa, drive the story with mischief, mystery and good fortune even after their death. But Sgt. Becky Smith has some tricks of her own. While Anna Magdalena provokes audiences with disappearing acts, vows, secrets, and outrageous art pieces that take place on NYC roof tops and beds, Becky pulls a fast one. The whole family rallies around Reade and he is awed as Anna Magdalena clicks her heels.

"Sara's book is an inspiring spiritual testimony to the power of the sacred feminine personified by Mary Magdalene. Sara's relationship to Magdalene is lovingly and tenderly expressed in her evocative paintings and dreams. This work is essential reading for those of us who would like to do justice to a neglected but important figure in our religious history. I hope the book does well; it's a magnum opus, and I was deeply touched by it." -- Lionel Corbett, M.D., Ph.D."Psyche and the Sacred: Spirituality Beyond Religion."

The Bible does not say Mary Magdalene was a prostitute, but some people today still believe that. What the Bible does tell about Mary Magdalene, however, is heavily slanted toward the culture with women considered inferior and men totally dominating their lives. Attempting to write the part of Mary's story not told in the Bible, I still found clues in the Bible as to what is missing. I believe the major clue is Jesus himself. Jesus had not discriminated against women. Even though the discrimination would continue in the next two thousand years, gender equality emerged in the twentieth century and my lifetime. Through personal experience and women's history, I found reasons for it lasting so long, and you cannot address discrimination without touching on all forms of prejudice because they are basically the same thing. You will realize women's rights may not be permanent and women's diligence is still required today, as well as the protection of women's rights in future generations.

Barbara Wood's 1978 debut novel is now back in print in a new edition from Turner Publishing. When the first of the Magdalene Scrolls arrives, Professor Ben Messer is puzzled, intrigued, excited. What scholar of ancient languages wouldn’t be, when he held in his hands something even more astonishing than the Dead Sea Scrolls—a scroll just discovered to contain the life story and last confession of a man who had lived in Jerusalem just after the death of Christ. By the time the second scroll arrives, Ben’s interest has begun to be more than professional. For it seems that David, the writer of the ancient scrolls, is in many ways very much like Ben—and he seems to be speaking directly to Ben, across nearly 2,000 years of history. Before long, the terrifying transformation has begun, and there can be no turning back. What do the words of a Jew who lived 2,000 years ago have to do with today, and with Ben Messer, a man who had forsaken his Jewish identity years ago—or thought he had. And why does David’s life suddenly seem so much more real—and powerful—than Ben’s own? Why does Ben suddenly shut himself off from the beautiful woman he intends to marry and become involved with Judy Golden, a very different kind of woman? And what will happen if Ben surrenders completely to the power of the scrolls?

Mary Magdalene was a resilient servant of Christ and a witness of His greatness. How was she able to overcome her demons to become the first witness of Christ's resurrection? These 5 lessons walk you through the Biblical truths about Mary Magdalene's life. She was transformed from a woman possessed by seven demons, into a resilient servant who sat at the foot of the cross on crucifixion day. Following her transformation, she developed an unquenchable love for Jesus. Mary Magdalene was a wealthy child of God who possessed a servant's heart. Her ministry began as she passionately served her Savior. She assisted behind the scenes of Jesus ministry with a grateful heart, because she had found freedom from her sins and her demons. Her excitement and gratitude overflowed as she exclaimed, "He is risen " to the disciples on resurrection morning. You will learn Biblical truths based on the life of this mysterious lady. Mary Magdalene will inspire you to: Give from the heart. Serve graciously. Embrace your freedom. Live with gratitude. And witness for Jesus. Mary Rodman is a Christian speaker and Christian author. Her #1 Bestselling devotional books, "Bloom Where You're Planted" and "Live Life in Full Bloom," enlighten and brighten your relationship with Christ. Her books will transform your ordinary path from the mundane and mayhem into extraordinary living with Jesus. Mary's homespun style of writing is packed with real life examples. Her devotionals and lessons are easy to read, yet thought provoking. While researching for her upcoming devotional book, "Bloom in God's Promises," Mary became intrigued with the mysterious life of Mary Magdalene. As a result, she wrote this study to share her thoughts with her readers. Mary says in the introduction to the study: "I often wonder what it would be like to speak directly with some of the great saints of the Bible. I would love to ask Peter how it felt to walk on water. For Paul I wonder, what was the thorn in his flesh? Was it a physical ailment, mental struggle, or a spiritual battle? But of all the New Testament servants of Christ, Mary Magdalene is one who seems the most mysterious to me. Not mysterious as in secretive. Mysterious as in where did she find the strength to do all that she accomplished for Jesus." For more inspiration from Mary Rodman, follow her on Social Media as MrsMaryRodman. Inspiration can be found at https: //MaryRodman.com/blog. To receive updates on Mary's devotional books and information on her speaking engagements, signup for her mailing list at: https: //maryRodman.com/BookBonus. A few words about Mary as a speaker: "When we were looking for someone to talk at our fall women's retreat, someone mentioned Mary Rodman. I did not know Mary at the time, but have since come to see her as a friend and Sister in Christ. We meet with Mary and talked about our retreat and what we were looking for and gave her the theme. Mary ran with the theme and gave us not only talks but small group questions and devotions for each session. The attendees found the talks relevant to our lives and the small group questions meaningful and thought provoking. Would definitely use Mary for a retreat again and would highly recommend her to speak at your retreat." Shirl Hensel Co-Chair, Women at the Well, Trinity Lutheran Church, Marysville, OH

The Stations of the Cross from the perspective of Mary Magdalene come to life with photos of the actual sites on the Via Dolorosa, historical and archeological references and beautiful Reflections and Prayers. In a fresh take on the Stations of the Cross, this version gives a human voice - and a female voice, that of Mary Magdalene - to the Stations, interweaving with history, archeology and photos of the actual sites on the Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem, today. The result is a profound and beautiful experience that touches the heart and enriches the mind - exactly what the originators of the Stations wanted those who undertook this spiritual exercise to achieve.By humanizing the Stations and bringing them to life, the book offers a primer on dealing with adversity - with perseverance, grace and hope. Readers will encounter Mary Magdalene, Simon of Cyrene, Veronica and Joseph of Arimathea - all of whom were ordinary people that stepped up in a crisis and did something noble, even if it was something small. Each of the fourteen Stations has been designed to allow readers to tap into that nobility. The book largely avoids the debate over who Mary Magdalene was - the penitent prostitute of European art or the secret wife of the DaVinci Code - and focuses instead on what she was: A strong, courageous, loyal and determined woman who was virtually unstoppable at the time of the crucifixion A saint for the 21st century. It also highlights recent archeological discoveries at Magdala, Israel which provide new insights about Mary Magdalene's life there, including a first century synagogue where Jesus undoubtedly taught and a Jewish purification bath (or miqva'ot) she may even have used, herself. A portion of the proceeds from this book will help to fund ongoing archeology at the Magdala site and the Magdala Project, which honors the Women of the New Testament and all women of faith today.

This story is like an engaging Hollywood movie. Rapid action, strong characters, dynamic events. It's also like a mirror. Everyone can see their own reflection in it, and his/her Maria Magdalena. Was she Jesus' lover? An evil sinner possessed by demons? Priestess of Isis preaching her own gospel? Who and why called her perfection over perfection? Each epoch has its own Maria Magdalena and every man as well.Maria Magdalena is a reflection of the era that defines her. Maria Magdalena Ewa Kassala is one of us. We can identify with her. We understand her and she knows our dilemmas and joys perfectly. Like us, she loves, errs, suffers, and hesitates, dreams of eternal and timeless love. She is educated and sensitive, good and endowed with extraordinary spiritual power, but she is also naive, conceited and vain. Raised in a hermetic world of prosperity, she doesn't quite understand the reality and problems of "ordinary people". However, she undergoes transformation, and after falling to the bottom, she is reborn to a new life. From the charge of the priests of Isis and the salon lady, she becomes an apostle. After a long spiritual journey, she discovers her life mission. Her task is to transfer eternal fire and the feminine particle of divine energy through time. She becomes Jesus' companion and, along with his mother, becomes the most important woman in his life. It is equal to the apostles.Welcome to the world of Ewa Kassala's magical novels
Mary Magdalene's Daughter: The Story of Sarah
A beautiful story of the Way of Love portrayed by the daughter of Mary Magdalene and Jesus of Nazareth. The story revealed in this book was transmitted directly to the author by Mary Magdalene's previously unknown daughter, Sarah, who shares the Pleiadian perspective of the true mission of her family-Jesus of Nazareth, his mother, Mary, his wife, Mary Magdalene, and his two children, Sarah and Timaeus. Sarah gives us an inside look at their family's trials and true purpose in coming to Earth from the Stars to help humanity evolve and grow through living in the true Pleiadian Way of Love. This channelled New Age message from Sarah, the daughter of Jesus of Nazareth and Mary Magdalene, was given to the author, Pia Orleane, Ph.D., to reveal the Pleiadian wisdom of the Way of Love. Sarah was taught the principles of Love and the truth about Ascension by her grandmother, Mother Mary, her father, Jesus of Nazareth, and her mother, Mary Magdalene. Her angelic and Pleiadian light shines out through every word. Read this book to change your life forever
