There's Always a Risk in Movement
Travel back to a time when David Bowie, Rod Stewart, and Sting ruled the Reading Festival and when lazing by the Thames was the perfect way to spend a sunny afternoon. Sit a while, and recall the many sights and sounds of the place where Oscar Wilde once wrote his fabled Ballad of Reading Gaol. The band XTC once posited that life is always better lived with senses working overtime. In Theres Always Risk in Movement: Tales from Old Reading Town, author Alan Croft aims to put this theory to the test as he peels back the layers of his life and dives headfirst into the heart of 1970s and 1980s Berkshire. Tag along with a group of youths in Reading as they engage in a seemingly never-ending pursuit of hedonistic delights. Most of all, feel the weight of the world slip from Crofts shoulders as he leaves behind a life of sectarian violence and eases into a tranquil English lifestyle. And join these close-knit group of youngsters as they stumble their way toward adulthood, always taking the time to share every little laugh, fear, and secret heartache as they make their way along that rocky road together.

God's wisdom hidden in plain sight was discovered through decades of dedicated research utilizing combined testimony of His three witnesses of spirit, blood and water testifying from Genesis 1:1 through Revelation. God placed the primer for breaking His true Bible code in the words of Genesis 1:1 where God (spirit witness) created the heaven (blood witness) and earth (water witness). These three singularity hosts are then broken into two witnesses of spirit and water allowing the blood witness to be begotten to testify for the original singularity host, establishing the pattern for all three-witness mystery sets in God's Living Word. The Father (spirit), Son (blood) and Holy Spirit (water) comprise the three witnesses testifying for heaven of Genesis 1:1 that corresponds to the Word of John 1:1-3 where "My Father who is in heaven" derives His name. Jesus Christ is the Word made flesh who dwelt among us, as the Son of God (begotten blood witness) with the Father (spirit witness) and Holy Spirit (water witness) in Him. God divided the earth of Genesis 1:1 into the waters above (heavens; spirit witness) and waters below (earth; water witness), so the two were rejoined to beget heaven (blood witness) of Genesis 1:8 to follow the same mystery-process pattern. Knowing the stories of God's Bible witnesses, and their relationships, allow the reader to hear the combined testimony, as angel song emerging from His Living Word like a symphony; for those God's chooses to know His wisdom hidden in plain sight.

Throughout the six decades of Queen Victoria's reign, France underwent immense political changes, fluctuating between monarchies, empires and republics. Relations between Britain and France were equally variable, as the shadow of Napoleon Bonaparte still hung over the collective memory, and it was widely believed on both sides of the Channel, that one day his successors would attempt to avenge the defeat of Waterloo.Against this background, Queen Victoria was forced to navigate the tumultuous waters of international relations, balancing her personal feelings with her role as a constitutional monarch. Despite the mistrust between Britain and France, and the animosity between the Orl ans and Bonaparte families, she succeeded in forming firm friendships with both King Louis Philippe d'Orl ans, and Napoleon's nephew, Emperor Napoleon III without compromising her position as Queen.

This writing represents the culmination of fifty years of practical ministry, walking out the Word of God and taking His promises quite literally - the product of which is an extremely blessed life. In this book, Jim Croft draws on his personal experiences in living the Word and applying it as the unerring foundation of the "life more abundant" that all believers are entitled to. This book teaches that believers can easily cultivate an accompanying dynamic that has great power and that the confidence it brings to all of life's situations is irreplaceable. Optimistic trust is planted like a seed within the human psyche by coming into agreement with biblically motivated principles and decisions. As Christians guide their thinking and speech to concur with these decisions, they soon find that they've developed a mentality of optimistic trust in God. This mentality is best described as the inspiring confidence that no matter what life dishes out, they'll emerge blessed by the favor of God.
