Scientific rearing of guinea fowl is gaining importance in the recent years. In India, quite for a long period, they were reared as ornamental and backyard avian species. Intensive rearing of guinea fowl is likely to accelerate, as the potential of this species to grow as a source of meat is in interest of the World poultry industry. After hatch, the source for nutrients shifts from the yolk sac to the feed the bird eats and digest. Stomach plays an important role in digestion and therefore absorption, growth and weight gain. Anatomy of the stomach in birds varies considerably and seems to be determined mainly by their diet. This study, therefore, aims to report on the structure (gross, histology and histochemistry) of the proventriculus and Gizzard in Guinea fowl and to correlate the structure associated functional processes and mechanisms of digestion in this species. This study in future will help researchers in other areas to engineer this fowl as an economically important meat species.

Die wissenschaftliche Aufzucht von Perlh hnern gewinnt in den letzten Jahren zunehmend an Bedeutung. In Indien wurden sie lange Zeit als Zier- und Hinterhofv gel gehalten. Die intensive Aufzucht von Perlh hnern wird sich wahrscheinlich beschleunigen, da das Potenzial dieser Art als Fleischlieferant im Interesse der weltweiten Gefl gelindustrie liegt. Nach dem Schl pfen verlagert sich die Quelle der N hrstoffe vom Dottersack auf das Futter, das der Vogel frisst und verdaut. Der Magen spielt eine wichtige Rolle bei der Verdauung und damit bei der Aufnahme, dem Wachstum und der Gewichtszunahme. Die Anatomie des Magens bei V geln ist sehr unterschiedlich und scheint haupts chlich durch die Ern hrung bestimmt zu sein. Ziel dieser Studie ist es daher, die Struktur (grob, histologisch und histochemisch) des Proventriculus und des Gizzard bei Perlh hnern zu untersuchen und die mit der Struktur verbundenen funktionellen Prozesse und Mechanismen der Verdauung bei dieser Tierart in Beziehung zu setzen. Diese Studie wird in Zukunft Forschern in anderen Bereichen helfen, dieses Gefl gel als wirtschaftlich wichtige Fleischart zu entwickeln.

L'allevamento scientifico della faraona sta acquisendo importanza negli ultimi anni. In India, per un lungo periodo, sono state allevate come specie avicole ornamentali e da cortile. L'allevamento intensivo della faraona destinato ad accelerare, poich il potenziale di questa specie di crescere come fonte di carne nell'interesse dell'industria avicola mondiale. Dopo la schiusa, la fonte di nutrimento si sposta dal sacco vitellino al mangime che l'uccello mangia e digerisce. Lo stomaco svolge un ruolo importante nella digestione e quindi nell'assorbimento, nella crescita e nell'aumento di peso. L'anatomia dello stomaco negli uccelli varia notevolmente e sembra essere determinata principalmente dalla loro dieta. Questo studio, pertanto, si propone di analizzare la struttura (lorda, istologica e istochimica) del proventricolo e del ventriglio della faraona e di mettere in relazione la struttura con i processi funzionali e i meccanismi della digestione in questa specie. Textile waste is a major issue for all countries, and converting that waste into useful products offers a sensible solution. Remanufactured Fashion is one such sustainable waste management strategy. It involves the conversion of discarded garments into useful retail products, without which they would be dumped at landfills, posing a number of environmental issues. Remanufacturing recovers a product’s inherent value once that product no longer fulfills the user’s desired needs. The application and use of discarded clothing in remanufacturing processes could greatly reduce the percentage of clothing waste (and mitigate related waste management issues), while also contributing to resource conservation. There has been scant research investigating what is actually involved in the fashion remanufacturing process and how the process could be up-scaled to the mass market in order to achieve greater environmental gains.
