For Rapunzel, being a princess has been nothing but fun. But everything goes wrong when she breaks a magical urn and blames it on her new friend, Ella. It turns out that the urn was home to a very cross (and now very homeless) hermit genie, who casts a spell making everyone blame Rapunzel for everything that goes wrong in Tale Town! With the help of her friends and a mysterious green monkey called Alphege, can Rapunzel 'undo what she has done' and lift the curse? The author's fictionalized recollections of his youth in the Philippines and a mosaic of adventures and misadventures. "Drama Queen" - a reality radio show celebrated the tragedies of contestants and rewarded the saddest of all with few pieces of bread and supply of a cheap cold ointment. Normal-minded women spilled their guts in public for such lowly rewards. "Love Has Wings" touches on an environmental and political disaster in a Spratly Island-like locale. A love story is woven into the fabric of a confrontation in the sea between China and the Philippines. "My Friend Alien" - a Filipino scriptwriter in Laguna Beach had a friendly encounter with an alien. "The Nine Lives of Felizardo Cabangbang" - a Filipino-American veteran was born lucky he could not die. "Lady Robin Hood" - a beautiful, contemporary Filipino woman did civic work in her own inimitable way. "The Wedding Ring" - the battle of good and evil in the mind of a jeweler. Stories explore the realms of the "Tiyanak", "Manananggal", "Nuno sa Punso", "Kapre", "Kaluluwa" - a positive take on mythical characters from the dark side.

The subject of this book is the physics of vortices. A detailed analysis of the dynamics of vortices will be presented. The important topics of vorticity and molecular spin will be dealt with, including the electromagnetic analogy and quantization in superfluids. The effect of molecular spin on the dynamics of molecular nano-confined fluids using the extended Navier-Stokes equations will also be covered –especially important to the theory and applicability of nanofluidics and associated devices. The nanoscale boundary layer and nanoscale vortex core are regions of intense vorticity (molecular spin). It will be shown, based on molecular kinetic theory and thermodynamics, that the macroscopic (solid body) rotation must be accompanied by internal rotation of the molecules. Electric polarization of the internal molecular rotations about the local rotation axis –the Barnett effect – occurs. In such a spin aligned system, major changes in the physical properties of the fluid result.

""Mars And Its Canals"" is a book written by Percival Lowell in 1911. The book is a detailed study of the planet Mars, its geography, and the possibility of life on the planet. Lowell was a well-known astronomer and a proponent of the idea that Mars was inhabited by intelligent beings who had built a network of canals to transport water from the polar ice caps to the arid regions of the planet. The book presents Lowell's observations and theories about the canals, their construction, and their purpose. The author also discusses the geological features of Mars, such as its craters, mountains, and valleys. Lowell's work was controversial at the time and sparked a debate among scientists about the existence of the canals and the possibility of life on Mars. The book is a fascinating read for anyone interested in astronomy, planetary science, and the history of scientific discovery. This Is A New Release Of The Original 1911 Edition. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
