ASCII Facebook Museum - https: //www.facebook.com/MuseumMADE in ASCII - Graphic Glitch Art - Technology + Art + Design is a collection of black-and-white graphics generated using ASCII - American Standard Code for Information Interchange. The entire Facebook Museum was generated in real-time online using simple text platforms with Special Characters and simple keyboard symbols, which in a diverse juxtaposition of copy and past repetitive actions created graphic patterns. I discovered the ASCII - GLITCH technique back in 2010 and was inspired to produce graphics utilizing Facebook in real-time by repetitive action to create later publications, books, fashion, techno art-film, fine art, and other merchandise online.While working on an M.A. degree in Multimedia at California State University, I felt the need to communicate using graphics. Moreover, as an eco-artist and eco-activist, I felt a great need to have a way of producing graphics that allowed me to save paper, ink, paint, monthly studio rent, and storage space for the artwork I created. However, I have the daily need to create graphics, without consuming expensive art supplies by adding to overall environmental pollution.When I first came across ASCII- GLITCH in 2010, I finally felt that I had found a simple way in an online environment that allowed me to create and share my graphic designs instantly. Using the simple ASCII platform and characters, which became a perfect tool for me to create patterns that have an architectural nature with minimalistic forms but challenging and sophisticated designs. Although it can be challenging sometimes to reinvent and come out with new designs using a repetition action, it also became great fun, using the social media walls as an amusing playground. I truly fell in love with my daily activity and spent hours pushing myself to reinvent new designs and possibilities while exploring the simple tool of ASCII.
