This thesis presents new methods for the characterization of vegetable oils, with focus in olive oil, according to geographical and botanical origin, genetic variety and other issues influencing product quality. A wide variety of analytical techniques have been employed, such as various chromatographic techniques (different gas and liquid chromatography methods), an electronic nose, infrared spectroscopy and expert-panel evaluation. Several families of minor compounds, with interest as adulteration markers, have been used for method development, including tocopherols, sterols, phenolics, alcohols, proteins and others. Most methods have been enhanced by the application of multivariate chemometrics. The proposed analytical techniques are of interest to investigate fraudulent actions and practices which are detrimental to product quality.

English summary: Energy is the driving force of human development and economic growth. The ceaseless demand for energy resources has triggered the development of extraction projects around the world. This, in turn, has exerted a significant pressure on natural resources as well as on the environment. Since the performance of human rights depends on the environment and on access to natural resources, this Study aims to show the extent to which the negative environmental impact arising from extraction operations prevents the effective realization of human rights. The analysis of substantive and procedural human rights in the light of the case law of international human rights courts provides all stakeholders involved in an energy extraction project with the tools and mechanisms to prevent environmental damage and to ensure the protection of human rights. German description: Energie ist ein entscheidender Faktor fur das Wirtschaftswachstum. Die unaufhorliche Nachfrage nach Energieressourcen hat die Entwicklung von Forderprojekten in der ganzen Welt ausgelost. Dies wiederum hat sowohl einen erheblichen Druck auf die naturlichen Quellen als auch auf die Umwelt ausgeubt. Da die effektive Verwirklichung der Menschenrechte von einer sauberen und gesunden Umwelt abhangt, bezweckt diese Arbeit anhand unterschiedlicher Beispiele zu belegen, dass die Energierohstoffgewinnung sich negativ auf wichtige okologische Voraussetzungen fur die effektive Ausubung der Menschenrechte auswirkt. Im Lichte der Rechtsprechung internationaler Menschenrechtsgerichte zeigt diese Arbeit, dass die Gerichte auf Umweltgrundsatze und -normen zuruckgegriffen haben, um Umweltschaden zu verhindern und den Schutz der Menschenrechte zu gewahrleisten.

El trabajo de investigaci n se llev a cabo bajo un enfoque metodol gico descriptivo y transversal, basado en dos variables de estudio: Variable 1) Actividad F sica y Deporte de trabajadores con discapacidades como generador de estilos de vida saludable y, Variable 2) Integraci n socio-laboral del trabajador con discapacidad. El objetivo es determinar, a partir de las opiniones de personas con discapacidad, como la actividad f sica y el deporte genera un estilo de vida saludable que facilita la integraci n socio-laboral en la empresa. Los principales resultados muestran que las personas con discapacidad realizan actividad f sica y deporte como una medida para lograr estilos de vida saludables, lo que les ha permitido poder integrarse de forma social y profesionalmente en la empresa en la que trabajan.

Tr nsitos atemporais na narrativa da alma - Notas para o estudo de Maria Gabriela Llansol uma compila o de seis artigos, resultantes de pesquisa de P s-Doutoramento em Literatura e Filosofia. O corpus do estudo o romance Na casa de julho e agosto (1984). Os primeiros artigos tratam dos argumentos de Plat o para a imortalidade da alma, fazendo cotejos com o objeto de pesquisa analisado.
