From the Author: Some people will tell you this book of my perceptions is a disrespectful attack upon President Barack Obama. Perhaps so as I make absolutely no attempt to hide my disrespect for Barack Obama's performance - not the man but his performance - in his official capacity as a steward of our affairsDisrespectful attack or not, this is a must-read book. It is my appeal to the American people to become fully engaged in deciding the future of the (still) great United States of America. Otherwise, we risk losing all that has contributed to our greatness.As a "card-carrying" fiscal conservative, my objectives in writing this book are to (1) provide reasons why only conservative politicians will stop our country's free fall, (2) cite media reports that show President Obama has failed the American people and has not earned a second term, (3) cite media reports that show our Washington politicians are failing the American people and (4) convince the American people that as a group we, with respect to guiding our country, have failed.You will read my critical thoughts and opinions about the changing land of the free and home of the brave based on my perceptions. It is my hope that what I write will inspire you to reach a good-faith voting decision November 6, 2012, a vote that will start the return of the land of the free and the home of the brave to a government that is once again one of, by and for the people - the country President Lincoln envisioned in 1863.This book addresses issues that have been prominent in the news - issues working Americans tend to forget while occupied with home, work and other responsibilities. Bringing these matters to the forefront in one book instead of in bits and pieces from different sources as they occur over long periods provides an opportunity to revisit forgotten issues and perhaps learn about issues for the first time.Reference to sources provided, along with further research, will help you become sufficiently informed for making the right 2012 voting decision. Except for numerous excerpts and references I consider credible and use as springboards, what you read comes from what I believe is sound thinking after nearly three-quarters of a century observing life on Earth.The general theme of this book - a book that presents President Obama and dyed-in-the-wool liberals as a group bent on transforming the United States of America from a country of capitalism to a country of communism - is the American voter's bubbling over apathy. We the people have failed to take ownership of the direction our (still) great country travels and seem to lack an interest in doing so.Our apathy led to sending Barack Obama - a man unknown outside Illinois and a man with a very thin resume - to the highest office in the land with nothing more to offer than a promise of fundamentally changing the way we live using the campaign slogan "Change We Can Believe In."You will be reminded of President Obama's shortcomings and of his wrongheaded agenda, an agenda with a foundation of wealth distribution and of giving everything to all paid by the 50% of Americans who pay an income tax.You will learn my views of, and suggestions for, tackling ongoing issues needing attention - issues pertaining to Social Security, replacing the federal income tax with a national sales tax, awarding pay to our Members of Congress based on voter polling data, DNA at birth, jailing parents with their children, voter education, liberal media bias, sensible gun control, our justice system, the TEA movement, unethical and immoral politicians, racism, government waste, whistle-blowers and more. My hope is that, for the good of the great United States of America, conservatives tell the fat lady to sing a song during the evening of November 6, 2012, a song telling President Obama and other liberals their destruction of our country is over.
