Die Studie konzentrierte sich auf die Auswirkungen der Motivationsstrategien von Schulleitern auf die Arbeitsleistung von Lehrern in ffentlichen Senior Secondary Schools in Abuja Municipal Area Council. Die Studie wurde von drei Forschungsfragen und drei Hypothesen geleitet. F r die Studie wurde eine deskriptive Umfrage durchgef hrt. Die Gesamtpopulation der Studie bestand aus 1888 Personen (23 Schulleiter und 1865 Lehrer) aus allen 23 ffentlichen weiterf hrenden Schulen im Abuja Municipal Area Council. Die Ergebnisse der Studie zeigten, dass die Anerkennung der Lehrer durch die Schulleiter, das Wohlergehen der Lehrer und die effektive Kommunikation der Schulleiter einen signifikanten Einfluss auf die Arbeitsleistung der Lehrer an ffentlichen Sekundarschulen im Abuja Municipal Area Council haben. Auf der Grundlage der Ergebnisse wurde u.a. empfohlen, dass das FCT Secondary Education Board Seminare, Symposien, Workshops und Konferenzen f r die Schulleiter organisieren sollte, damit diese die verschiedenen grundlegenden F higkeiten und Kenntnisse erwerben k nnen, die f r die Anwendung grundlegender Motivationsstrategien zur Verbesserung der Arbeitsleistung von Lehrern in nigerianischen Sekundarschulen erforderlich sind.

L' tude s'est concentr e sur l'impact des strat gies de motivation des directeurs sur les performances professionnelles des enseignants dans les coles secondaires publiques du conseil municipal d'Abuja. L' tude a t guid e par trois questions de recherche et trois hypoth ses. Une enqu te descriptive a t utilis e pour l' tude. La population totale de l' tude tait compos e de 1888 personnes (23 directeurs et 1865 enseignants) provenant des 23 coles secondaires publiques du conseil municipal d'Abuja. Les r sultats de l' tude ont r v l que la reconnaissance des enseignants par les directeurs, le bien- tre des enseignants ainsi que la communication efficace des directeurs avaient un impact significatif sur les performances professionnelles des enseignants dans les coles secondaires publiques du conseil municipal d'Abuja. Sur la base de ces r sultats, il a t recommand , entre autres, que le FCT Secondary Education Board organise des s minaires, des symposiums, des ateliers et des conf rences pour les directeurs afin de leur permettre d'acqu rir les diff rentes comp tences et connaissances de base n cessaires l'application de strat gies de motivation de base pour l'am lioration des performances professionnelles des enseignants dans les coles secondaires nig rianes.

Lo studio si concentrato sull'impatto delle strategie motivazionali dei presidi sul rendimento lavorativo degli insegnanti nelle scuole secondarie pubbliche di Abuja. Lo studio stato guidato da tre domande di ricerca e tre ipotesi. Per lo studio stato utilizzato un disegno di ricerca di tipo descrittivo. La popolazione totale dello studio era composta da 1888 persone (23 presidi e 1865 insegnanti) provenienti da tutte le 23 scuole secondarie superiori pubbliche di Abuja. I risultati dello studio hanno rivelato che il riconoscimento degli insegnanti da parte dei presidi, il benessere degli insegnanti e la comunicazione efficace dei presidi hanno un impatto significativo sulle prestazioni lavorative degli insegnanti nelle scuole secondarie pubbliche di Abuja. O estudo foi orientado por tr s quest es de investiga o e tr s hip teses. Para o estudo, foi utilizado o modelo de investiga o de inqu rito descritivo. A popula o total do estudo era constitu da por 1888 pessoas (23 directores e 1865 professores) provenientes de todas as 23 escolas secund rias p blicas do Conselho Municipal da rea de Abuja. Os resultados do estudo revelaram que o reconhecimento dos professores por parte dos directores, o bem-estar dos professores e a comunica o eficaz dos directores tiveram um impacto significativo no desempenho profissional dos professores nas escolas secund rias p blicas do munic pio de Abuja. Com base nos resultados do estudo, recomendou-se, entre outras coisas, que a Dire o do Ensino Secund rio da FCT organizasse semin rios, simp sios, workshops e confer ncias para os directores, a fim de lhes permitir adquirir as v rias compet ncias e conhecimentos b sicos necess rios para a aplica o de estrat gias motivacionais de base para a melhoria do desempenho profissional dos professores nas escolas secund rias nigerianas.

The art of the up-and-coming South African artist Candice Breitz draws on contemporary mass culture, devising new systems for understanding reality. Published in association with the Castello di Rivoli, this book documents Breitz's new work "Mother + Father". Exploding the terrain of representation, Candice Breitz employs a variety of darkly humorous and often disturbing tactics to strike out at stereotypes and visual conventions as presented and accepted in the media and popular culture. Breitz appropriates photographs and visual fragments and recontextualises these in bold, sometimes tasteless-seeming images, which radically challenge conventional wisdom and question currently accepted assumptions. Considering herself a "symptom" of her own time, Breitz has articulated her artistic practice by acting directly inside pop culture, opening up, unhinging, and fragmenting its apparent solidity, and devising a sort of creative intervention that transforms her from mute spectator into an active, critical voice. Conceived specifically for Castello di Rivoli, "Mother + Father", 2005, represents one of the artist's most complex projects to date. The work is developed in two distinct installations. The protagonists in the first installation, entitled "Mother", are Hollywood actresses Faye Dunaway, Susan Sarandon, Meryl Streep, Diane Keaton, Julia Roberts, and Shirley MacLaine. In "Father" the six father figures have the well-known faces of actors who include Tony Danza, Dustin Hoffman, Harvey Keitel, Steve Martin, Donald Sutherland, and Jon Voight. Suspended in a void made up only of words, facial expressions, and body language, the new interactions of these actors and actresses give rise to the theatrical space of Breitz's work. Digital simulacra, the mothers and fathers devised by the artist are hostages, trapped within a specific emotional repertoire that questions the canons according to which the media - television and Hollywood - have taken over the role of parenting, training the public to experience, through the screen, circumstances that, instead, pertain to real life. Candice Breitz has participated in numerous exhibitions including Re-animations, Modern Art Museum, Oxford, Remix: Contemporary Art and Pop, Tate Liverpool. She has been invited to participate in the exhibition Experience of Art at this year's Venice Biennale.
