However, due to bureaucratic challenges and myths, conventional universities produce knowledge and innovation in the sense of traditional disciplinary knowledge, which are not adequate to meet the goals of sustainable development.This book provides a model for greening a university which in turn can produce green knowledge and innovation in the mainstream knowledge production process. This model, which is based on research, can be adopted by the conventional universities in other regions. Such a process results in providing benefits to stakeholders of the university at the micro-level. At the macro-level, it blends with the other knowledge systems—namely, the natural environment of society, economic system, media-based and culture-based publicand civil society, and political system—to create a sustainable knowledge economy.

The contemporary issue of the Anglo-American corporate vale model is short-termism. That is, the model operates in the interest of shareholders overlooking or at a cost of non-shareholder stakeholders’ interests including society and environment. The eye opening evidence is the 2008-09 global financial crisis. In these circumstances, this book examines how three Anglo-American corporate governance jurisdictions, the United Kingdom, South Africa, and India have recently modified their corporate value models for creating long-term sustainable value. The examination continues with the Anglo American corporate value models of two emerging countries also. Finally, the Continental European corporate (German) model is also analyzed. The comparative analysis is useful for revisiting not only the Anglo-Saxon Models in common law countries but also Continental European Models in civil law countries. This book draws together scholarship on national identity, cultural geography, and the histories of Britain and London to ask what role the Square has played in narrating British national identity through its many uses. The author focuses on a series of examples to draw out her arguments, ranging from the Suffragettes’ use of the site in the early twentieth century to the Fourth Plinth contemporary art scheme in the early twenty-first. The book explores how different users of the Square have understood national identity, and how the site itself has shaped this narrative through its built elements and history of use. Ultimately, Trafalgar Square and the Narration of Britishness, 1900-2012 uses the Square to explore the processes by which urban public place can help to construct, maintain or transform national identity.
This is the first book to introduce UUDN for 5G, including the concept, challenges, architecture and key technologies.
